The point is that playing this make believe game with
pretend money would appear pointless and in fact
obviously gives some an inflated opinion of their ability, by
manipulating the prices and rules to suit !
No-one was critical of exchanging tips, correct me if I am wrong,
but you and mal jump like gazelles if anyone questions your
self-made rules.
Having said that,"if i dont like it -dont watch it" applies to me
so each to their own
The whole point to this challenge was only to prove that the odds put
in the Advertiser were misleading and at times wrong.
FRED I have been putting my LATE MAL tips in the trotting previews
and quoting the paper odds
Approximately 90% of my selections have paid much less on the TAB
then what the paper quoted.
With monotomous regularity I will tip a $2-50 chance that pays $1-40
on the TAB that day.
CENTREMAN might be right he says they deliberately inflate the prices
of some favoured horses to encourage TAB turnover.
MAL says if thats true and deliberate then that is poor poor poor by the press
MAL also says the guy doing the trotting prices might be a poor judge
The guy that does the dog odds in the paper is very very very good
FRED how are we manipulating the prices and rules to suit ?
The paper bets 150% consistently for its odds
The TAB bets 115% all the time for its dividends
In theory its about 35% harder to beat the paper odds
I would say the paper is manipulating the odds not me.
FRED one more thing about infalting my ego
Your right I love to brag, thats me
BUT
Go thru my bets in the challenge and compare the paper odds of all my collects
to the odds paid on the TAB
Proves my point about the paper odds[ and why this challenge has eventuated]
