Yeah I know, just hoping some of them make it, as others have in the past

I got what you were saying I don’t think others realise it was a questionnaire

Even though I rarely win on them and they'd be well in front, Neds have banned me from their promos now so there's another bookie in my rapidly shrinking arsenal gone.

Havent used them for a few years since they snipped me from the promos too .. Easy to see why Neds have done it

Are Tabs becoming irrelevant for win & place Tote pools on a lot of meetings? As these days pretty much all greyhound meetings and a lot of Trots meetings the pools are just pathetic and basically irrelevant for anyone wanting to place a decent size bet.
Place betting with the Tabs is basically out of bounds for anyone remotely serious as place pools are non existent and the FIXED ODDS Place Markets offered are quite simply EMBARRASSINGLY PATHETIC . It's an UTTER DISGRACE

An example of just how bad tote pools have become, Mt Gambier Dogs R5 No. 2 today ran 2nd
On UTab the Tote place dividend was the grand total of $0.00 because there wasn't 1 single bet place on it for the place on the tote
I dont think ive seen that before. Not surprising considering there was only $30 in the place pool.

Doesn’t help when Pubtabs and Agencies are closed but I get your point

Grafton dog race on Tuesday the winner paid about $230 on Unibet as the pool was only about $270 and one person had a $1 on it.

Will aMALgamating Ubet/VicTab/NSWTab be the solution to increasing and sustaining tote pools ?
I think the mergers are inevitable

I will say this about the 3 TABS
ive been more than satisfied with customer services by all 3 over a long period of time

Absolutely the $$ flow on betfair for greyhounds is great at the moment. Creating plenty of value for your runners.

I've opened an account with Grant Lynch in NSW.

Offers 1st deposit bonus, referral bonus, top tote etc.

Sends me regular account statements. Can't complain about the service at all. Thought I'd give the small, Aussie operator a go.

No dramas so far.

Made a withdrawal from Lynchbet yesterday. Arrived in my account instantly.

Think he's developing a website at the moment too.

I thought the exotics would suffer in gallopers, it doesn't appear to have.

I kept an eye on Sportsbet vs Ubet, I used both the first couple of weeks of no pub, Ubet seems to be paying alright now, I prefer them as I like doing roving trifecta's.

Overall the most important part, is that enough revenue from betting turnover ends back up in the racing industry to secure its future.

I'm purely talking from a greyhound racing perspective, never look at anything else.

Even with no sports betting happening, tote pools are terrible. Meanwhile betfair is booming. The punters are there, clearly. They just don't want to place a bet in a market where they don't know what odds they will get or bet into 121-123% fixed odds market when they are use to sports betting fixed odds market of 105-107%.

I feel that even if you were to merge all the pools to increase liquidity on paper, the punters mindset has shifted enough to fixed odds and pools will still grind lower over time.

Racing is shooting itself in the foot with fixed markets sometimes well over 130%, it makes no sense betting into these markets at all. I understand the government taxes haven't helped but the difference in % between racing and sport is incredible.

Still amazes me how few punters are on Betfair.

Has racing turnover increased while sports have been in pause mode? Would be a worry if they haven't and confirm the model is broken.

Looking at greys on betfair they are holding mega dollars. Some pools north of $100k matched. 3 totes combined wouldn't hold that and i doubt they hold that if you added the fixed hold.
Oaksy really has opened up the purse strings.
