Angle Park Thursday Night
Races 3, 5 and 7
Heats of the West End Distance Championship
Heat 1:
1. Miss Woods (43.59)
2. Ten Bandannas (first start here)
3.*vacant*
4. Irma Bale (first start here)
5. Full Circle (first start here)
6.*vacant*
7. Bobby Rocks (44.38 running 3rd)
8. Then Quoted (43.97 running second)
*no reserves*
Predicted leaders: 4>1>7
(4) Irma Bale looks to be the earlier favourite as it has a very good record interstate, is a top performer with the only query being the 731mtr trip. If it doesn't make the distance then the main dangers would be (1) Miss Woods who has a solid record over the trip or (5) Full Circle who is a strong finisher. The others can be in the finish but would need to find a bit of luck.
Tips: 4-1-5-8

Heat 2:
1. Jessenia Bale (43.74)
2. Elena Mclaren (43.68 running 2nd)
3. Double Champ (first start here)
4. Hurleys Kist (43.95 running 2nd)
5. *vacant*
6. Rock Obsession (first start here)
7. Platani (44.83 running 4th)
8. Kalden Mayhem (43.22)
*no reserves*
Predicted Leaders: 2>1>6
(8) Kalden Mayhem has to be favourite here, is a super performer with a superior record to anything else here, only needs an ounce of luck in running and will blow these away. (3) Double Champ comes in with very good Meadows form and it will be interesting to see how that stacks up here. (1) Jessenia Bale has good recent form over the trip and looks to be the only one that can knock these other two off. Numbers 2 and 6 should be in the mix for 4th.
Tips: 8-3-1-6

Heat 3:
1. Leica Drill (43.50)
2. Crystal Peak (44.02)
3. Kiltanon Skye (first start here)
4. Kalden Petroni (43.46)
5. *vacant*
6. Samantha Mclaren (43.88)
7. Cousin Callum (first start here)
8. Scooby Snack (44.30 running 2nd)
*no reserves*
Predicted leaders: 4>8>6
(4) Kalden Petroni is unbeaten over this trip but this race does look harder, id only have her slight favourite over (3) Kiltanon Skye who has very good interstate form. (1) Leica Drill is also starting to hit good form and you know it will be eating up the ground late. (7) Cousin Callum is also very capable of taking this race out. The first 4 here should gap the rest.
Tips: 3-4-1-7

Predicted final:
Miss Woods
Irma Bale
Full Circle
Kalden Mayhem
Double Champ
Jessenia Bale
Kiltanon Skye
Kalden Petroni
Leica Drill (1st res)

My odds to take out the championship:
$2.50 Kalden Mayhem
$4.00 Kitanon Skye, Kalden Petroni
$6.50 Irma Bale, Double Champ
$8.00 Miss Woods
$10.00 Full Circle, Leica Drill
$12.00 Jessenia Bale, Cousin Callum
$17.00 Bobby Rocks, Rock Obesession
$21.00 Then Quoted, Ten Bandannas
$31.00 Platani, Elena Mclaren
$51.00 Samantha Mclaren, Hurleys Kist
$101.00 Crystal Peak, Scooby Snack

Just watched Race 2 at Sale and any punter that backed No. 4 Maldini Sunset would be saying F%**&$#^&ING C^%&%^%S $%&***&^$^* SHIT !!!
It was an $ 8.00 chance and walked out of the boxes over 440 m. Settling down a clear last it unleashed a scintilating swooping run wide out around the entire field hitting the front about 15m from the post and then immediately slammed the brakes on allowing the 10 dog ($14.90) to regain the lead crossing the line.

I know this happens a bit in greyhound racing but this would have to be one of the worst examples i've seen. Just heartbreaking for the punter as it was a HUGE run and had the race shot to pieces and in the matter of a blink of the eye its lost.

Very frustrating for all concerned i'm sure but could me a dog to follow if the trainer can sort the problem out.

was watching this at the TAB

I Had a small interest bet in the race as i was waiting for nowra.

the 4 did walk out but they bunched up in front of it, as if none of them wanted to race and left the 10 miles out in front

and it was an enormous run to charge around the field and at the top of the straight there was only going to be one winner

my suggested bets for the 3 heats would be

heat 1 - miss woods place - well drawn, early pace, loves this T/D and if it runs 3rd we will just go and find the connections!!! ;) ;)

heat 2 - really looks like 8 wins, from 3. thats the exacta. box them up as well as insurance.

heat 3 - i think 3,4 should be running the Quinella.
