4 out of 5 Saturday with Chickaloo breaking its leg halfway down the straight and just missing a place in 4th. Grand horse and will be sadly missed.

EL SIEGNEUR A MASSIVE $17.10 the place....... BIg overs....was 201- out to 30-1 on course and we got $17 place....AWESOME...
Sea Zulu is a class act and everyone relised that but 20% on your monet for no risk is always good. Zipping and Funlove can also be followed in coming races, both placed and ran well as expected....so results of $17.10, $2.40, $1.20 and $1.60 has seen the pool jump to a massive....$787.50......

I only had a crack yesterday ($5) & it came 3rd (NTD), but I jump off if the 1st bet is a loser, today I didn't back any of your selections.
Mal had the same trouble with the Dogs.
UniTab are probably just taking 50% out of the pool....

I noticed Tsyzu won in Melb today. This was a quality horse 2 seasons ago and won loads of decent races. It won today paying $14 which would have been a good pick for the followers out there!!
Maybe one to watch for the spring!!

AG, if possible, can you also post your "to-date" strike rate (ie 5/12 have got up, profit/loss=).
Would be interested to know whether it's your strike rate that's in front, or just landing a decent priced winner (place) every so often.

punky - if I wanted to pick 10/12 place getters I would tip short priced favourites paying $1.10 place. Its not about that ...its about Value.... and horses that will anticipatedly be OVERS... .sometimes these odds are effected by scratchings and track conditions later in the day but we can only go on what we know in the morning.

eg. obviously If you pick 5 horses for the day... all paying $6 place... you only need 1/5 to profit... I definatly dont go for strike-rate PR just PROFIT.
whereas you would need 3/5 if they were all paying $2 place to show a profit...

In conclusion I asses a horses chances of running a place and anticipate the place odds I think it will be... and if it is good OVERS it becomes a selection.

we realise you try and find a value place-getter in a race and i guess PUNKY just wants to see how your strike-rate is going, obviously it must be good to be showing a profit.
