In terms of how close each runner is to the starting price. You need to give it some form of range.

Because if your runner has available odds of $2.50.... and you have it rated at $2.60.... you really need to be confident in your actions. Do I BACK or leave?

I figure giving each runner a realistic range of odds is something that needs to be taken into consideration. Perhaps 10% of the price is a fair fluctuation guide to see how close you are to a backable price.

the 8 wins at $6.50 which is almost double what it should have been!!!!

7 runs 3rd - slightly under the required odds but the any2 with the 2 clear cut picks returns $2.50

Punting the OVERS on your ratings is something that has to be done.

We found good OVERS in that race.

As for the exotics. We knew we could find the winner from our top 2. So that is a good start.
