when these old ignorant members die, then so does the racing industry and then everyone will be happy

Some old people have 'morals' MT79.

I assume as part of the application process that everyone undergoes a police check and they perform a personality profile on them as well?

Or do they have the same morals as the SAJC board that was corrupt as buggery (pardon the pun)?

Very interesting marketing ploy by the SAJC. Time will tell but I would say it would be another SAJC flop.

However this race on Saturday is named appropriatly

'Good Vibrations Handicap'

and the last race of the day

'Mars Bar Nightclub Handicap'

the best bet of the day is 'Kissable'

I will definatly not be going to this meeting.

The SAJC promotions are a joke, what about this one that took the world by storm.......

Chance to get lucky at The Races
25/11/2010

Thoroughbred Racing SA is celebrating the diversity of the state's race meetings and giving racegoers the opportunity to turn one day at the races into a triple treat with a new 'Third Time Lucky' loyalty program.
Pay twice to get in and third time get in FREE!

Very ordinary promotion SAJC. If they think stuff like this is going to entice people to come to the races then they have a problem
BL are $1-00-2  thats not even $1-01

So, 80 members decide not to go this week. Judging by the attendances each, non-feature raceday, week, a lot more than 80 members make that decision each week as it is. Maybe this day might attract some new members who, heaven forbid, might actually be a part of the next generation of something that desperately needs a next generation if it is to survive beyond the next 25 years.

Otherwise, the SAJC may as well simply pull out the old Teletrak plans that were floated around Waikerie years ago - race meetings that no-one actually attends, but were down a straight track, purely for internet punting.

Do you think there will be an increase in attendance due to the promotion?
If so, will they be there the following week?

This reminds me of the Woodside refugees and the Woodside residents
Most people who think its fine to house the refugees live b4 the Toll gate
Most people who are against this are seemingly living in the Woodside vicinty

Im not going to side on this
But we have almost all saying its ok for the G + D day [and most are not racegoers]
But then we have a member, who supports the club who is there most weeks who is against this day

Both are similar

Had a thought about it
Being a once a year racegoer, this day seems fine by me
But then again, if I was a regular racegoer, would I think differently ?
I might even feel embarrased, or might I feel content that the club is trying something new
Who knows

If it was "Gay and Lesbian" day for an afternoon at your football club and you were a member, would it stop you from going to see your team play?

I've obviously missed something ... aren't we just talking about people going to the races, nothing more, nothing less.

No need to lock up the kids I would have thought? #-o
