End of the carnival, it was great to see the best horses in OZ at GDP.
Blacks A Fake 2 years in a row proves a champion horse with great endurance
should win the final.
Flashing Red and Robin Hood couldnt physically stand up in the 4 runs.
This may well be the last GDP Interdominion which will ultimately doom the club.
When people know that the BEST will not run in SA it will affect future attendances.

Another disapointment was the below capacity in each race.
GDP races are full with 10 runners, bit we had heats of 7-8-9 runners for various reasons.

I will never enjoy the 4 runs in 2 weeks format, but the compromise is watching the best.

I don't understand how you can say Flashing Red didn't stand up - his 2nd sample to this "positive swab" came back below the levels.. he is the best stayer in the country and would have made the race very interesting last night.. it was a real shame he wasn't there because on this seasons form.. he deserved to be
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

You got in for free, good on ya.You paid $3 each to feed the brats and stole from the salad bar to feed yourself.Good on ya.Kids shared a lemonade,LOL.Your first loser this year is you.

That was actually the first time I EVER did the $6 shared meal with the kids.
I only did it to prove the $85 to $215 packages were too exhorbitant.
In my post on the Inter tonight I actually enjoyed the racing etc, I sledged the
fact the horses are suffering from the over-racing in the heats in a short time.

In my time punting etc on course GDP for 30 years with TAB commisions, meals,
drinks I would have contributed about $50k profit for the club.
With TAB on course commissions being about 10% of turnover being the main $$$$$

I have no consoius over my $6 meal deal tonight as in 30 years of going there
I have never been approached by a commitee member or CEO for my patronage.
People like me should be given a free or discounted meal occasionally.
The Casino does.

PS during the week a mate of mine hada $16 mixed grill with a FLY in the meal
He chucked in the bin, we called a staff member over......no refund

This will make KAHUNA happy.
Went to that cafeteria tonight 17/02/07 and read this notice at the salad bar :

SALAD BAR IS ONLY APPLICABLE FOR
USE BY CUSTOMERS WHO PURCHASE
A MEAL PRICED $7 OR ABOVE

THANK YOU MANAGEMENT
