I agree. Had had about 3 6 monts spells and others like Hay List and Black Caviar (don't forget about Faster Son) are here now.

Dodgey i agree with you on your first point the huss was never a stayer , just a very good (not a champion ) sit sprint type . I truly believe if the trainer (as you have stated your dislike ) had gone to the cox plate instead of the caufield cup that year (08) ?? that the said horse would still be racing today and winning over distance between 1200m - 1600m (maybe 2000m ) just a personal thought but i think ross flattened the horse by trying for the C.C .

Here are som stats I use to help me find winners on wet tracks (give Adelaide,Brisabne and Melbourne willl be wet tomorrow). It gives you the sires that have good wet track runners. One horse not on the list that I have won plenty of money on if any horse sired by Commands on wet tracks...they go really well.

Ive fallen into the trap of over studying and now like too many of the runners ..

Alcopop, Shocking, Metal Bender, Herculian Prince and Faint Perfume are my most fancied runners, with Harris Tweed and Monaco Consul the value I reckon.

Reckon I'll risk Dariana on that surface

one horse who has pushed it in a group 1 race in sydney is valdemoro - $67 ON UNITAB fixed odds

Faint Perfume beat it by a short 1/2 neck. Next start both went around in the AJC Oaks and Valdemoro failed as a $3.50 chance whilst Faint Perfume ran 2nd at $2.25

Valdemoro hasnt raced on a heavy track which is the question but it has no weight on its back, drawn wide but if Faint Perfume is a genuine hope then I think this horse is well worth a few bob ew

R9 - No Evidence Needed

I know most are short, but I think the state of the track in Melbourne just means Soul and Purple should lap up the conditions. No real tip in the Caufield Cup, too much of a raffle. Those are the 5 I've got some money on though.
