Well Dutchy I don't think I'm going to be much use for you this week !!!

I would say this is the closest idol comp in a long time

I would have to say that Wes would definitely be going through with his final perormance

Which leaves it up to who is going to go through, and who is going to go home out of the other two.
Both did very, very well in my opinion

This is where it's at.

Wes = SENSATIONAL last night.

Played two great/varying songs, his second, Get Back, opened up with his own guitar solo, sounded effing wicked, he's through.

Luke = Smart player, intelligence has got him a long way in this comp, just his song choices being spot on every week. Picks popular songs that suit his voice and delivers them accordingly, although his version of I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues by Elton John was a surprise, a pleasant one.

Mark = Well, I've only just noticed, but he's been doing it more and more in the last few weeks, has been trying in vain t sound like luke, trying to add that rough edge to his voice. Very sneaky Italian. Don't rate him much, as I've said before, and his performances were flat, but that might be my bias more so than overall fan opinion.

Verdict tonight: Hoping for Wes/Luke final. Wes will be there, that's a CERTAINTY.

Mark tends to hit the younger crowd more so than Luke and this WORRIES me because he's not as entertaining.

It'll be tight tonight. If I was making a call, I'd be backing Luke in, but I'm not sure if I'm going with my heart or my head here.

Luke has made it this far on his smart decisions, Mark has made it based on mainstream popularity. I think Luke is the most AUSTRALIAN idol the competition has ever seen and that should win him votes.

Watched this for the first time last night . Have to say Wes was very good and was clearly the best. On how I saw it last night I thought that Mark was a bit better than Luke, so based on that I would be saying seeya to Luke.

But, I really have no idea though as its the first time I've watched it. So, if your betting on this don't hold me responsible

Although I suppose with everyone thinking that Wes is a certainty to stay... then you've got a 50/50 chance of getting it right

I have a theory that Australians don't like you if you are too good or if they think you are good enough to make it anyway in spite of the show. So after Chris Isaack said that he would hook Wes up with some contacts in the US (we'll see if he actually does), the voting audience may go for an underdog instead. We are about giving battlers a go, not rewarding the most obviously talented .... rightly or wrongly.

So I think Luke is safe (as the underdog) and that Wes is in trouble even tho the judges did everything they could last night to get him through.

I think Mark is good at the intense songs like Angie and Sex on Fire but falls apart on the more "up" songs and ends up pointing to the crowd and singing into the camera too much. But he can sing, he makes good song choices and seems to be popular with the voters.

Of all 3, IMO Wes is clearly the most talented and most likely to go on and do anything substantial - whether he wins Idol or not (loop back to 1st sentence).

Mark is too self centred and a bit of a big head, and will come crashing down.

Are there any odds for someone from the audience to jump onto the judges desk and smack out Sandilands....

Good on Luke though, must be amazing for him.
