complete wipe out on the cup for me. Backed 6 horses E.Way and another 2 straight out and NONE of them ran a place. Master O'Reilly 4th being my best result.
Wouldn't have mattered a F**K if Bauer had Won though as i then would have had the First 4 for 4% (Probably equating to about a 16 - 18 K collect at a guess).

How much does a First 4 ticket cost for 1 unit, if you were just backing 4 horses that is.

How can you back 8 horses and none run a place, yet if Bauer won, you would have got the Pick 4? I would have thought that the horses you picked straight out would have had to have been in your multiples? That being the case, you would have got diddly squat. I think someone's telling pork pies. :? :?
So you've seen everything have you?

Calling me a Liar for admitting that i Lost? Gee thats a new one. Usuallu it's when someones bragging about a Win.
I had 9 horses to win on my F4 Ticket. 5 of those 9 i backed of which Bauer wasn't one of them. The other 3 horses i backed were Bolters which i didn't have to WIN on my F4 Ticket.
Hope that makes it a bit clearer for you B.C.

Didn't have a crack at it, have had a few wipe outs on the GP Quartet J/Pots lately so gave it a miss. Those standing start races at GP are a lottery at times.

Couldnt agree more! i dont remember Paul Perry (Choisir) Taxi Joe (Takeover Target) Lee Freedman ( Miss Andretti) telling the Poms how to prepare Royal Ascot before winning their best races.

You're not an emu, are you Dutchy?
Great work mate.

I managed 2nd and 3rd. Had thought about viewed and Moatize purely for sentiment reasons being Barts 50th Cup, but sentiment doesn't win races and I couldn't see either winning!

Still cant get over the O'Brien stables - 4th last (Septimus), 2nd last (Allessandro Volta) and last (Honolulu).

Surprised they haven't followed the tricks of Weld and Camani - use Aussie jockeys and stop in to a lead up race on the way through.

As for Francesca Camani - oh boy.
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

Fair question BC but JJ jas a fair bit of cred around here so believe what he says....

I though Viewed ran a good solid race in the Caulfield Cup, but I was disappointed with Saturdays run, but you cant deny Bart, thats an amazing effort....12 Melbourne Cups
