Can't see Edwards getting highest for Crows let alone winning the Brownlow.

Thompson hs polled 15 and 18 for the last two years, so he definately attracts the umpires eye. He has had an under rated season to date and is always around the stoppages.
During the Crows last six games which have been wins he has got 30, 38, 33, 31, 22, 27. there was a game also earlier in the year he was leading possession getter on the ground against Bulldogs with 34. He also got 29 in crows win against Melbourne earlier in the year.
I have had a nibble on him especially at $1001 definately worth a crack.

Last year Cooney polled in 9 games and won it.
2007- Bartel polled in 11 games
2006- Goodes polled in 10 games

Swan would have to be very close especially with his new tatoo's this year, which stands out a little more along with Judd who is having s standout year, Lenny Hayes s having a career best year and Paul Chapman (chapman hs had alot of 30+ possessions games and in the past he has polled when he has got over 30 possessions.

I want to know who would be polling the votes from the Bulldogs!
Cooney had a slow start but the year after winning the brownlow and it always seems easier the year after to poll votes, he could have possibly polled in the last five games (all wins to bulldogs) with 24,33,35,27,32. with a 29 and 26 possession games in two wins earlier in the year.
Cooney is paying $301
Griffen polled 10 votes last year but he failed to get higher than 25 possessions. is $101
Boyd polled 12 last year and could be a surprise at $151.

I'm banking on Lenny Hayes at 100/1 or Nick Dal Santo at 125/1, a couple of speccy bets early on this year.
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

Swan is a known vote-poller and i doubt Didak will be snatching too many votes off him.
I think $4.00 is over the odds, just wish i got on him 8 weeks ago.

18 votes

i havent added the weekend vote sin yet

st kilda is teh real interesting team - goddard, dal santo, hayes, montagna and riewoldt are nearly impossible to split every game - for me riewoldt has been missing the votes but maybe the umps have been giving them to him instead of one of the mids

I actually backed Scott Thompson @ $1,000 - had $5 each way...
he's now into $250 on the back of 2 of his lesser games this year...

thats what i said about the st kilda games - those 5 guys have been in st kildas best 5 or 6 players every week, it will just be a lottery on who they give the votes.

scd i have also backed scott thompson 10ew at 1000 - i have him on 17 votes

Agreed that those 5 St kilda players would be cleaning up the votes..... given that saints will average 5 votes a game minimum.... I think that the winner to come from st kilda at $4 is a great price..... one of them could be a mile infront at present.... at worst the votes will be evenly spread and you will still be a show I reckon.....

any thoughts on that bet?????

No way Grub. Sharing it between Hayes, Montagna, Riewoldt, Goddard, Dal Santo.
Surely they'll poll lots of votes, but they'll share a lot of them.
Wouldn't be surprised to see all 5 of those listed players finish on 15-20 pts, but they might miss out on taking Chas home.

Sure that could happen.... but one of them could end up on 30. At $4 I would be prepaired to take that chance....

you will get a good run for your money given the amount of votes heading in those 5 players direction....

The more you look at it, Dane Swan is the one.
I reckon he has polled 20 votes in the last 8 weeks.

Would still respect S. Black as last year proved beyond any doubt that the umps notice him and Brisbane will probably end the season with a 14-8 record which will mean about 85-95 team votes IMHO.

Don't jump off Ablett bandwagon yet though as he's going to poll at least 25 votes which will win 9 years out of 10.

You'd think that if he puts in another couple of Best on Ground performances between now and Round 22, that he'd be in with a chance. Is a proven vote getter - see last year.
