Warrnambool Race 7 ~ Race in two here. #6 should ping the leads and cross this field, with #1 punching up on the rails, can hold posi. #3 gets the sit, while 7 has to sit midfield and middle. Avoids trouble as 5 slow starts with 4,8,9 who can't reel in the runners when behind and scrap for 4th. The only roughie that can show unlikely early speed is #9.

Race 8 is perhaps the most interesting race of the night. PLENTY of early speed in this race, but they can't all lead. Which only means one thing. CARNAGE and VALUE exotics. #1 Sure Cool should ping the lids again and lead, will take catching. #2 gets the perfect sit in the race and has strenght. But 4,5 won't lead and need too. #7,8 outwide have no chance of crossing and are in bad boxes for this race.

This gives #9 MEPUNGA MAC who is a slow starter, but a storming finish a chance to avoid all the speed and cut straight to the rails and power home underneath weakening runners who only chase on the bunny.

BUT surely can't win, as these speedsters are too quick early to run down over 450m. But Mepunga Mac should add value to exotics!

I have been interested in PLACE markets Mal. But I am unsure how to use them in the exotic calculations.

Purely because there are some dogs that have better place chance than winning chance.

In my markets, I try and work out the order that the race will unfold. But there can be confusion between WIN chance and PLACE chance in the market.

It seems you rate the Mt.Gambier form of #1 much higher than I do. That will certainly be PLACE OVERS> The BOX is huge favours.

I work them out manually and it works OK most tracks, certain races
Takes about 3 minutes per race, to get the right odds worked out
Its not FOOLproof but a useful guide for exotics and PLACE betting

BUT missed all the Exotics

Im happy that Ive done 2 races now for 100% record with the top pick
I wont get too carried away as over the years Im about even using it

Dutchy, we did extremely well that race. Backing both 2,5 and investing in the quinella.

Race 6 ~ Pace from favoured inside boxes see's them 1,2 early. And no-one will catch these early. But 3 is stronger to the line. 5 can power in middle with no pace, 2,4 boxes. 7 stuck too wide early as wont cross.

Bendigo Race 7 ~ There are plenty of moderate beginners in boxes 5-8. Which means that Ashleigh Ella is going to find it tough to cross the entire field, as none of these 5,6,7 go to the rails at the start. 5 goes straight. 6 goes straight, and 7 Krebs likes to stick wide. This gives a perfect inside passage for the LEADER #1, with #4 also pinging out nicely. #2 to sit on the rails and avoid all the trouble. Railers track here. Should suit 1,2 a lot more than #8. Having said that #8 is the BEST DOG in this race.
