I took MM on in the Grafton Cup last week, going with Sacred Day instead. Was kicking myself before the race, thankfully the magician let someone else win for a change :D

Does anyone dabble with "exacta's"?

I'm usually a trifecta man but have noticed the exacta's paying pretty well when they are seemingly easy.

Occasionally, but I figure if I'm picking two I might as well pick 3 ( or 4 ) and go for the tri.

Been doing some daily doubles lately, too.

That's generally my outlook, I've been surprised with the exacta payouts lately, it's my turn for our punters club this week so I was thinking of changing to exacta's to get me over the line and hopefully jag a rough one.

Having said that, I've had a decent run lately with the tri's.

Same. Probably my preferred bet type. A boxed Exacta, even tho half the div pay better then full unit quinellas.

I get $235 to play with.

I'll do 11 boxed 5 exacta's which will yield 100% for $20, just need one semi-rough one to get up and I'm up and about, most were paying around $40+ when the fields were at least 9 and it was seemingly easy, one paid $762.

Will just do the last 3 races at Morhpy, The Valley, Doomben and Randwick though, providing the fields are greater than 10.

Out of interest, did anyone see Bowman's ride on Cats Nipper last weekend? Jocks cop a fair bit from angry punters, but the way he wove this thing through the field in the straight was a thing of beauty.

Very good jock .. Like all of them he might misread a spot here and there. IMHO he didn't cop any heat when working his way up through the grades, but then got the plumb job on Winx and since then some hate started. It's always struck me as those complaining are doing so through their wallet.
