well we have the strath cup heats running at angle park

ill give tips out for races other then the CUP HEATS, I wont be betting in them. Its a shame that the best dogs wont be in the final in a fortnight.

GRSA seemed to have 'lost' our nominations for the Cup Heats - so we had 2 miss out

What will happen to the smaller length races that were going to be held, Angle only caters for 515m plus? Anyone know?

i think they mentioned that the 416m noms were going to be carried over for next meeting which will be cup day in a fortnight.

Strath dont have SKy set-up unfortunately

like Mal mentioned they changed because of $$$$$$$$$$$$

I think its disgraceful

like running the melbourne cup at bairnsdale for the horses

Yes - I cant disagree with that.

I hope Strath are getting a good cut from it.... wonder how the sponsors are treated - thats interesting. Im a major sponsor of Gawler, and I cant have a race name for the weeks at Angle Park, depsite them being Gawler meets.

They have ditched the Gawler Sponsors and used Angle Pk sponsors.... thats what I call disgraceful.

they used to have a sky set up because the strath trots on a monday were on sky but that was a long time ago now

A trainer sets his dog for a race at Strathalbyn
and has to race at Angle Park
The regulars up south have to travel to a western suburb to have a punt
Morally this is wrong
Its like rooting your best mates wife on your own wedding night

Whats next the Kulpara Cup over 300m transferred to AP over 731m next year

Unless the Strath club is on the brink of financial expulsion this was wrong

if thats the case then as you have mentioned DISGRACEFUL and other words come to mind that are better left unposted.

there are some dogs that handle strath that dont handle angle park and vice-versa.

the winner of this years strath cup wont be the best strath dog, just the dog that can handle both tracks which is wrong.

I hope that strath get the majority of benefit from having heats run at AP and I hope there sponsors got a run today as well.

Not being a dog owner or trainer i cant talk from your perspective but from a punters point of view' it was a fantastic afternoon. didn't mind travelling the extra hour to get there (i live 10 mins from strath) and obviously the facilities are better, there was a Bigger crowd, 2 bookies and the advantage of having the meeting on Sky channel which meant Big Pools that you could bet into with confidence. If it were at strath, i wouldn't have gone.
You blokes whilst i highly respect your opinions need to look at the bigger picture. It was only a once off Bcos of the Horse Flu Stuff and the club Benefited from it financially and Promotionally.

Food at Mangle Park today was sensational, Chicken Schnitzel Parmy with chips and all the salads and veg i could eat for about $14.00 followed up with Hot Chocolate and tirimisu for about $6.00. Fan-bloody-tastic .
And yes i did end up having a Good Win thanx to the Quaddie. paid $187.80 and got it Stax of times.
All up comes to only $71.50 on S/Tab.
If this meeting was at strath, S/Tab would not have bet on them as they would not have been on sky.

Yes they made more $$$$ good financial decision
But its a Strathalbyn Cup which by definition should be run at Strathalbyn

Geez the meal for $14 was OK
How did the club manage to get HOT CHOCOLATE to play for $6 ? [everyones a winner....]

And the Strath cup will be run at Strath, Sunday week. Just the Heats were run at Prangle Park.

Unlike the Strath Trotting Club that run their Cup at Light Bulb Park.

PS. Everyones a winner By Hot Chocolate would have to be up there as one of the Greatest songs of all time.
