globe derby friday 7/9/2007

Postby bayman » Thu Sep 06, 2007 8:35 pm

gdp friday,

r1 5,6 on top from 1,3,7
r2 2 will lead & win from 1,7 then 6,8,9
r3 1 on top e/w from 2,4,7
r4 4 should lead & win from 3 who should get its back then 5,7,8,10
r5 4,6,7 on top next best is 5
r6 6 on top from 1,2,7,9 (i wouldn't take it too short though, no shorter than 4/5)
r7 6 looks the one from 3,4,7 then 5 who could sneak a hole if a couple gallop

suggested bet(s)
r2 no 2 win
r4 no 4 win
r7 no 6 win

wedgefair lay
r3 no 5 if its less than 7/2 lay as it is not a horse that can work & from 5 i envisage it'll have to work

good luck on the punt
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I was trying to amend (for suggested Bets) and deleted it instead..
i've now put back up...

R1 - 1 and 5 on top from 6,7,8 other place hopes 3,9
R2 - Great Betting and Trifecta Race 2 - 1,7 - 1,7 and saver 2 - 1,7 - 1,6,7,8,9
R3 - I think 1 is suspect at 2230m Bayman.. especially with 3 drawn front row.. makes this a tough race to assess.. 2,4,8,9 the main hopes
R4 - 3,4,7 the only hopes here.. 3 went better on Monday from a change of stable..
R5 - 1,6,7 the main hopes in a average race
R6 - 6 a moral from 1 then 2,5,7,8,9
R7 - Lottery race.. 5 and 7 the only two that can't place...

Suggested Bets
R2 - 2 win and multis above
R4 - 3 place
R6 - 6 win

Betfair Special
R1 - 6 will struggle from the draw and don't think can win tonight
R3 - 1 2230m struggles at and will probably be burnt early
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

SCD, change of trainer for commander cam shouldnt be a factor, the previous trainers of this horse are all tied up with each other. Maybe its the Pullicino legacy that helped it for its so called race of his life.
Race 1. no.1 has the option to lead or take a sit. EW
Race 2 no.2 good chance to get back in winners list
Race 3 have shares in a horse in this race wont tip
Race 4 no. 8 each way, but depends how easy no.4 goes in front.
Race 5 Too hard. Watch the soccer
Race 6 No. 6 Should b too good for these.
Race 7 NO. 7 e/w if he steps away

Good luck on the punt.

Re Commander Cam - I know the listed trainer is tied up with Loone - but just seems to me the owner at the time may have been helping out and it wasn't getting the help a 13yr old gelding needs....

Hope your horse goes well in race 3 (but not too well - don't want it beating mine!!)

Do you think their will b speed in race 3 tonite? as i think no.3 will look for the lead. The more the speed the better for me. Good luck to you

I don't know exactly how to assess the race..
one week S Mowday will go forward and attack for 600m and the next week he will go back and put no pressure on...
I think he will think the lead is up for grabs and have a crack - their might be speed on for the 1st 400 - 600m and then it will be slowly run.. which won't suit my horse either...

LATE MAL
----------

R7-6 ROVERS RETURN
can sit and sprint to well for these OR
can zoom around them and take the front
just simply wins
reliable foolproof trotter
WIN
EXOTICS as well

OTHER RACES
-------------

I think these horses can lead and run a race if allowed to
R1-1 PER SEMPRE but needs a cheap run
R2-2 PETRIA if no pressure wins
R4-4 THE DALMATION if the real one turns up looks the winner
R6-1 WHATA SPECIAL but vrs the champ the long odds on FLEET MAGIC

As for race 3 driving tactics will be interesting
perhaps a safer option would be to back GUATANAMO BAY for a place

LATE MAL RESULTS

R7-6 PAID $1-40

OTHER RACE TIPS

R1-1 PAID $4-20
R2-1 PAID $1-60
R4-4 2ND
R6-1 PAID $4-90

Itsa September to remember
Winners galore trots and dogs
Hope everybody is backing these tips whilst Im on fire
