THAT QUOTE IS WAY OVER THE TOP, here is some that would be
possible to go in the 'superstar' list & why is he a former australian ? surely he is still an australian ?!!!

gavin lang
brian gath
fred kersley
brian hancock
john justice
lance justice
kevin thomas

there is just a few & at the moment you can not put simmo in that class & i'm sure simmo would be embarrassed you have, he may end up there but he has a long long way to go

I'm sure Simon wouldn't be as embarrassed as you should be for putting among others plate head in the same bracket as Gavin Lang & BR

Some comments pre race from the race caller on sky channel

" WELCOLME SIMON JONES A NEWCOMER TO NZ."
" HAS DRIVEN 15 WINNERS IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA."
" THIS IS NO GREAT WAY TO START IN NZ ON A $45 CHANCE."
" VERY ARTICULATE AND PROMISING REINSMAN."

Good rap from the caller
As for the horse, it was midfield on the pegs and the horse near him galloped and
knocked him out of the race, welcolme to NZ SIMMO !
