Brownlow Multi's

Postby Pup » Fri Sep 07, 2007 3:24 pm

Having a play around on My TAB internet account the other day and was having a look at the Multi's for Most Votes for each sides.

WCE- Daniel Kerr- Certainty, May poll the most in the League
Port- Chad Cornes- Cant see anyone beating him from PA
Fremantle- Matthew Pavlich- Certainty
Brisbane- Jon Brown- Certainty i would think, Lots of 3's
Roo's- Brent Harvey- May win the whole Brownlow up to 10 BOG's
Geelong- Gary Ablett- Only challenge will come from Bartel but i think he has done enough
Essendon- Scott Lucas- Kicked a lot of Goals, Could Hird beat him?
Carlton- Heath Scotland- Bit of a tough one with carlton, i would say him or Carazzo
Dogs- Scott West- Missed a bit of Footy but still played some great games, Challengers Johnson, Boyd ?

Now i realise a lot of things have to fall into place for one of these to come off but what do you think?

Its paying $297

Any other thoughts from other sides?

Melb- James Mac
Collingwood- Lockyer or Shaw?
Stkilda- Riewoldt is short favourite with Dal and then Montagna (Who i think is a chance)
Adel- McLeod or Goodwin, Thompson and Edwards
Richmond- Foley, Bowden or Richo
Sydney- Goodes, Kirk or Malceski

i think you should havago

but take some savers

in all of the multi's you take I personally would only spend a few $$$ on them if you are going to take 9 teams

could add a bit of excitement to the BROWNLOW

If you look at the Head to Head and the Group betting for the Brownlow, there are some absolute morals amongst them.
Have to wait til Im on before they can be disclosed.

I took my first one the other day: Scotland/Dane Swan/Hird/C.Cornes/Goodes to return $56.89 per $1 invested. Reasoning on putting Hird in, instead of Lucas, is that Hird was in very, very good form until the injury - don't forget he was getting high up in the B'low betting until that, and had a few very big games. While Lucas has also had some big ones, some have been in losing teams - Hird's were often while they were in winning form. Even last week, while Lucas would have to get the 3, Hird would be a show for the 2 or 1.

Swan was a toss-up between him and Lockyer, and is the tough one to choose. Tend to think Scotland will have some bigger games when Carl either won, or were close - a few of Carazzo's big possie games were in heavy losses.

Having said that, agree with G - there is some surprising value to be had out there. Some of the "Top 5" for Brownlow could get interesting (although big  for Unitab, who had to remove Adam Cooney from the market, after having him up for a few days - suspended in Round 10!)

Group betting on the brownlow looks a good way to go and adds some interest to the count on a Monday night. Throw a few of these around in multi's and see how you go...

Hird is paying $4.25 to get more votes than Lappin, Bell, Rob Harvey and West. Hird was leading in Bronlow votes earlier in the year and only danger here is Bell i think. Brown would have taken too many votes off Lappin.

Brent Harvey paying $2.35 to get more votes than Chad Cornes, Mitchell, Jon Brown and Bartel. If he has as many BOGs as we all think he should take out this group. But who knows how the men in white see it.

Dustin Fletcher paying $2.85 to get more votes than Bowden, Scarlett, Firrito and Glass. Fletcher was probably the only one of this group to start run out of defence and catch the eye for votes. Bowden gets heaps of touches, but not many of them are constructive.

Brown paying $2 to get more votes than Riewoldt, Pavlich, Gehrig and Johnson.

One on one betting also looks worth a punt, especially in multi's.

Kerr paying $1.72 to get more votes than Goodes
Chad paying $1.65 to get more votes than Kane
Bartel paying $1.55 to get more votes than Corey
Harvey paying $1.45 to get more votes than Mitchell

Shows what sort of % they opened up with.
