Comment in Dale Lewis' column in todays paper

In his bit at the back of the footy liftout in today's Advertiser, Lewis makes note that apparently according to AFL rules if you use someone's tips to make money you are legally entitled to give them 25% of the money you win. Does anyone know whether this is true or not (I would have thought so if he's claiming it's a fact) and does this apply to all forms of gambling where someone can give educated tips? If it does, I suspect a few people here owe some certain posters a bit of dough.....

well if this is right, people will have to pay up to racecallers & experts who have been tipping on the radio since mal was a boy

WHAT ABOUT THE LOSING TIPS , do you get a 25% rebate ?
