SA HARNESS RACING "RANDOM BARRIER DRAWS"

Often races are drawn on Random or pref on R class (then Random based on R Class)..

My horse continues to draw bad and has drawn Barrier 7 twice in the past 20 starts and has drawn 3,4,5 on the front line everytime she has drawn the front... 10 of her last 20 barrier draws (includes 2 runs where she didn't get a go because of EI) have been either 5,9,10 - really "Random draws" this includes 4 starts in a row with barrier 9 @ 12,100/1 (two races at pirie with 11 horses) thing like this don't happen by accident!!

Horses that draw 3,4,5,8,9,10 draw those barriers all the time - with the very very occasional good barrier of 1,2,7
Horses that draw 1,2,7,8 draw those barriers all the time - with the odd 5,6,9,10 thrown in..

I did some looking at the Friday trots and have come up with a few examples...

R1 -

R2 -
Burningthebreeze 5/8/4/4/4 (this horse has had 9 horses / 10 horses / 10 horses = 900/1 about getting the same barrier 3 weeks in a row)

R3 -
Amber Vision 3/4/5/4/3/2
Rhythmatism 2/5/4/3/3/9

R4 -
Esiason 4/9/9/4/3 (not including Moonee Valley start - drew 7)

There to me are too many horese with combinations of 3 or 4 races out of 6 with the same barrier and too many same combinations.. This is an absolute JOKE... if you can't have a fair computer system to draw the fields and a fair system for horses to win races - they should be done manually!!

Anyone else think this is an issue in the industry??

SCD very simple resolution to your problem and please don't take offence to this........... your horse should be in the cheap claimers not only would she be a cheque earner but you could put her right price on her. Surely it wasn't your decision to put that price on her head, your smarter than that and you can't tell me she wouldn't beat Bonselina? She'd destroy it, something to think about anyway!!

Your Quite right Strutter. Half the battle for a trainer is putting there horse in the right race. As for beating a horse like Bonselina your might be right but lets remember he is a 13 year old. Doesnt say too much about the horses he just beat.
