I'll be heading to Moonee Valley tomorrow night hoping for a few good results.... both at Globe and Moonee Valley
Globe Derby
R1 - 1 should lead and be hardest to beat, main dangers 2,3,7,9
R2 - 3,4 on top from 1,2 then 6,7,8
R3 - 2,9 on top from 1,3,5
R4 - 7 e/w special from 1,2,3,4
R5 - 3,5,6,9,10 the main ones in a very very tough race
R6 - I think 3 can lead here and be hard to run down.. 2,3,7,8 the main hopes
R7 - 2,3 on top from 1,7,8
R8 - 1,3,6,8 on top if you have to be in a very ordinary race
Suggested Bets
R1 - 1 e/w
R4 - 7 e/w
Betfair Horses
R2 - 6 draw makes it tough with speed drawn inside
R3 - 3 1800m, trotter taking on pacers..
R5 - 4 average animal, even against this lot
Moonee Valley
R1 - 1609m usually fence horses are prominant.. 22 races without a win.. i'll still tip the leader on top 2, main danger 1 then 4,5,8,9
R2 - 1,4,6 on top (1 looks a good place chance & bet if >$2.50) 3,5,8 the main place hopes
R3 - 1,5 on top from 2,3,4 in what looks a very hot speed and high quality race
R4 - very tough start to the quaddie, like the 4 to lead, making 1,4 on top from 2,8 then 10,12
R5 - Tough race to work out, 7 goes quick early and can lead.. 2,3,7 the main hopes from 1,8,10
R6 - 2,3,4,10,12 the main hopes and I hope the 4 can finally win his M0 - go Zerrafoss...
R7 - 3 e/w special from 1,2,8,9
R8 - 11,12,13 on top from 1,3,4,9 in an open trot race
Good luck to everyone having a bet....

LATE MAL
Usually horses are bred in the purple
Tonight I have one in the "DEEP PURPLE'
R6-4 SMOKE ON THE WATER [$2-50]
I think if Cavallaro drives aggresively and crosses it would be a firm fav to win this
Im hoping Hryhorec hands up on Brolga Bay[and he should]

Dont be too harsh on him, he came out with a brilliant plan to get more people to the track.
Punters are now required to go to the track to ensure the stewards scratch the right horse.
Previously one would of though if you bet under false pretenses the race would be void but no now if you want to back a leader in a race where s mowday or some other kamikaze is the late scratching you have to be on course to make sure it is actually scratched or you get a stooging when they simply reinstate it in the market after he has search and destroyed the one your on.

I'd call it A JOKE the way meetings a policed in this state!!!!!!
Harness Racing is a TEAM SPORT in this state!!! Has been for a while. As long as one of the stable horses wins its ok!!

LATE MAL RESULT
SMOKE ON THE H2O runs an average 3rd
Its not an excuse but what about the odds it was $1-40 on the TAB !!!
Fortunately I could not back it at those prohibitive odds
BUT A LATE MAL loser , my aplogies
ZERRAFOS was an unlucky 4th at MV was badly held up in the run
URAJOKIN was a slashing 5th running on well in the same race
If Seal + Jones were on those horses ....

Not to be too critical - but I had a fair size bet on Zerrafoss tonight, the $25 was too good to pass up - should have been $8 to $10 in my view.. I was thinking he'd get a nice run on the pace and be competitve, his last run at the valley a month a go was good also..
THE CRIPPLE driving him hands up the front to the worst horse in the race.. doesn't C McSwain believe in doing form??
Glencoe Macdonalds form...
5th/11 from barrier 8 (behind leader at bell) at Shep (C5/C6)
4th / 8 from barrier 1 (behind leader at bell) at Nyah (C5/C7)
6th / 8 10m stand (4 back fence at bell) at Bendigo (C3+)
1st/10 from barrier 8 (3 back fence at bell) at Shep (Claimer)
9th / 11 from barrier 5 (1 out 3 back at bell) at MV (Claimer)
This horse hands up everytime i've ever seen it in front.. Surely C McSwain saw Hei Command coming and if he holds the front for 200m and hands up to the right one I have no doubt he at least finishes 2nd @ $6.50 a place.. If I was J Seal (who drives good) i'd either drive it myself or get a decent driver on it - that was a disgrace and it cost the horse any chance of winning - and YES i was saying it with 2 laps to go when he handed up!!

I agree with SCDs comments about C. McSwain handing up to a horse with shocking form.
Zerrafos was right in that race bar incompetence on the drivers behalf.

The reason it was $25 wasn't fancied.
Lang horses don't run that price if fancied.
No trials so probably went to races for a hit out. Driver probably following trainers instructions.
probably picked up the expense money with the 4th.

Bayman in great form again - I must admit I also thought the 3 would lead (stable doesn't like handing up.. hey INOUNO) but there was no aggression shown at all by P Cav (not like he can anyway) but I suppose he didn't drive any horse with real aggression tonight and maybe he just didn't read the LATE MAL tonight??
I thought with the night I was having if all else failed i'll follow the Late MAL and for the first time in a very long time it let me down
