EI MEETING
-----------

6-30 Monday night in the Jubilee Room to discuss the current EI conditions

HAROLD PARK
-------------

OCT 12 might well be the most famous Harold Park meeting
This is fair dinkum there is a proposal to possibly hold a race meeting of Camel races
Camel races at a goats track !!!
Kapunda had a camel race a few years ago, and Bookies bet on it as well ?

GDP + APK
----------

Had a chat to a trotting diehard who assures me that the 2 codes will merge
and race at the Bolivar complex, very very interesting, I dont think it will eventuate

EARLY MAL
-----------

R2-7 CULLENS HOPE
Trainer Ray Holberton will need to give this instruction to the driver Hollywood Harding
" HOLD THE REINS TIGHT AND DONT FALL OUT THE CART DAVID."
Good horse
Star driver
FIG tipSTAR
WIN SPECIAL

gdp monday,

r1 5,7 on top from 1
r2 7 on top from the main danger 5 & next best is 1
r3 chances 3,5,7,9 & a rough place hope to 1
r4 an easier race than last week imo makes the 5 a moral from 3,7,8 next best is 1
r5 1,3,4 next best 6
r6 8 on top from 7 then 1,6,9
r7 2 on top e/w from 4,6,7,9

suggested bet(s)

I thoroughly endorse your comments on the Count De Christo race Saturday night
I wont go into the tactics by a driver of another horse in that race[very poor drive indeed]
But these races are becoming increasingly difficult to assess and indeed wager upon.

As Shirl the Girl once lyriced " EGO IS NOT A DIRTY WORD, DONT YOU FORGET WHAT YOU SEEN OR YA HEARD."
But I will say this, some of the high class races of late at GDP have become EGO trips
for certain drivers who continue to drive to get other horses beaten or winning
Personal fueds between drivers is making a mockery of some of these races

Mal, If the dishlikas move to GDP can you see it working? I assume it works well at Albion park.
Each Way special today R3 NO. 9 Nutfield.
Way Way down in class. Dont think you'll get the $4.50 quoted in the paper.

AGAINST
In my opinion if the Dishlickers re-located to Bolivar it would not attract crowds on face value.
All racing entities should be as close as possible to the city for practibility
GDP is too far for people in the Southern suburbs to attend
City meetings are central for all people to attend and far more accessible by public transport
If the dogs went to the Wayville showgrounds it would improve attendances.
FOR
However aMALgamating with GDP would possibly streamline finances and make both clubs
wealthier and could stimulate prizemoney levels and then snowball both industries
MY VERDICT
Makes no diff to me as both GDP/APK are similar distances from home

NUTFIELD is an undeniable EW chance
SIR STORM if ready first up is an enourmous chance[my selection]
THE DALbaymanATION is a chance but also a dud at times

Now MAL - very good to pick a $1.10 winner.. BUT I think you should be giving credit where it's due today...

Each Way special today R3 NO. 9 Nutfield.
Way Way down in class. Dont think you'll get the $4.50 quoted in the paper.

:prayer: :prayer: =D> =D>
WARRIOR - $7.20 on Supertab from 1 pick.. GREAT WORK

NUTFIELD is an undeniable EW chance
SIR STORM if ready first up is an enourmous chance[my selection]
THE DALbaymanATION is a chance but also a dud at times

THE STORM is only an average animal and the stable just isn't going as good as 6 - 9 months ago.. so be very careful following them at the moment...

MAL dont let a jealous centreman put you down just because he cant appreciate a true genius at work. Everyone knows that the $1.10 pops would pay $1.40 in the past except for the huge nationwide following of the late MALS. :prayer: :-({|= :prayer:

Spot on G
No disrespect to WARRIOR but had I declared NUTFIELD it would have paid $5 not $7

We are all aware of your following so really you helped us by not declaring it and letting us get maximum odds. What a team player. =D>

Just for the record WARRIOR I backed 3 horses in that race
I included NUTFIELD as a saver only and broke square

Nevertheless I might ban you from tipping in the trots
Bayman/scd/and I dont like gatecrashers who tip $7 winners

Tell me one of your bets wasn't The Dalmation. As long as that horse continues to lead and run first halves of just over a minute I think he will struggle to win a race and when he starts so short all the time you will get burnt more often than not.
