Went to track last night and thought i was in the middle of Baghdad. (ARMED SECURITY GUARDS.) Were they worried the 60 or so owners or punters that were there last night were planning to jump the fence and storm the stalls. Great PR excercise on behalf of HRSA. I think the guns are over doing it. Mind you the 87 year old granny looked a little suss in the grandstand so they might of been there for her

whatabout the brazen robbery tonight !!, poor old keith (he'd be in his 80's) had his book, paper, glasses & pens etc pinched in a 'hit & run' robbery at the track tonight & the old lady said 'you cant take them they belong to a old man' the reply was 'stiff' & as a couple of the others were coming over to help he bolted out the front around the stand & out of the grounds but the security caught up with him, keith got his glasses back but nothing else & he was upset the perpertrator still had his book, i'll endevour to find out the ending next week

ps, no time this week to do the preview as i worked & went straight to norwood oval & then straight onto gdp, ps i had a fair night

That would be Keith Miller ?
I always have a chat to him, a fantastic old bloke
If its the same person BAYMAN he coached the Australian basketball team
in the Olympics in the early 1960s
Keith when I was in very poor health a a few years ago was my mentor
He would embrace me at the dogs and trots and cheer me up.
I cant believe someone would be so pathetic and do this to nice bloke like Keith

I will find out the happenings next time I see him

WARRIOR hmnnnnnn

The mail is the man who robbed Keith was on a rampage in a few places
before he got to the trots, I think they apprehended him and he is being
charged on some very serious matters.
I cant verify details but the mail is attempted murder as well as other offences

This information is merely speculative at this stage :?:

MORE ROBBERY
After viewing the replays of GDP sat nite
I was robbed on a couple of my investments
One of those was a long odds on favourite that was defeated

After viewing the videos BROLGA BAY needed the run :butthead:  ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
You would think running twice in 24 hours would impede the horses """WINNING""" chances.

you would think running twice in two days makes it hard for the horse but for all you punters who remember John Justice trained a horse called Masada and was an odds on favourite at Gdp on a friday nite and beaten then buttered up on a Saturday night at 20/1 and got the cash.

Also remember a Trotter a few years ago ran Twice in the same day at GDP. GDP had an afternoon meeting followed by a night meeting and the horse lost in the afternoon but won later that night.
Also similiar thing at Victor Harbor Many years ago a horse ran in 2 races the same afternoon and won its 2nd race at massive odds. again my memorey is not good enough to recall their names.
Also a few years ago now at Moonee valley, they used to run the Heats and Final on the same Night of one particular Race.

Come on MAL - it drew barrier 10.... it needs luck at the best of times and then in a slowly run race it draws barrier 10 - It was 4 back the fence and ran 6th beaten 17m.. Just Johnie was 3 back the fence and got beaten 34m.. the run was ok given the class it was in and where it had drawn.. beat home Slay Em who had won 2 of his last 5....

As for horses racing two days in a row.. I remember in the old days when the rivers were running Blue - one horse Poppys Vanity for V Albernese winning on a Friday night at Gawler and backing up and winning at about $90 the next night at Globe -

it happened not long ago at a geelong harness meeting a horse racedin the pacers event in race 1 or 2 and buttered up in the trot race in the last, both times finished last and i think it was nominated 2 days later....
