Globe Derby 6/10/07

Postby SCD » Fri Oct 05, 2007 11:44 pm

I've been conned into playing Cricket by one of my mates this season because they need a keeper - so better get my tips in and get off to bed.... because Cricket followed up by a session at the Valley will be a big day!!

R1 - 1 a moral place hopes to 2,3,6,8,10 and maybe my horse the 7 can fill a place... was a bit disappointing the last 100m last week, so not too sure... :? :?
R2 - 1 should lead and win from 7,8,9
R3 - 3 looks a moral from 4 and 6
R4 - 1 and 7 quinella from 4,5,6
R5 - 1 clearly on top from 2,7,8
R6 - open race in which 1,2,4,6 the main hopes and a watch on 5....
R7 - field job in the quaddie.. 2 might lead and improve.. other hopes 5,8,9,10

Good luck if you have a bet

gdp sat, RACE 1 IS A JACKPOT FIRST 4

r1 1 likely leader & winner from 2,7,8 with next best 3,6....SCD I THINK FROM THE DRAW YOUR HORSE WILL RUN A PLACE
r2 if right 1 will win from 2,4,7,8,9
r3 3 on top from 2,4,7
r4 1 likely leader & winner from 4,7 next best is 5 with a rough place hope
r5 well although up in grade if the 1 trots (has 2 out of 3 times) it should lead all the way from 7 who is a clear 2nd pick with next best 2,8
r6 with a better draw 2 on top e/w from 1,4,5,6
r7 if the 2 had a decent driver i'd make it an e/w special from 5,8,9,10 next best 4,7

suggested bet(s)
allup
r1 no 1 win
r4 no 1 win
r5 no 7 place

good luck on the punt

Whats going on fellow tipsters everyones on Iris now. I tip it in recent
races and get bagged by some   I think it will improve tonight. My each way is Race 1 no. 8 Compare Bianca.
For the record SCD i did some research on Celestial Presence.
Tonight is his 26th start. He has drawn gun draws 1,2,7,8. 14 times, over 50%. He has drawn the pole 6 times just under 25% but the main statistic is he has won 1 from 5 from the pole. Good luck tonight.

I hope you are right Bayman - but no confidence from me.. I haven't heard from the other owner as to how she has been during the week - but as I said I was pretty disappointed with how she finished off last week, so no confidence.. put that run aside and I would have expected her to run a place.. do I forgive one bad run or not??

Yes - comes back to my theory of barrier draws.. I bet the other starts it's drawn predominatly 5,6,10 ... which is pretty sad really - i'm going to keep this up and will have a good record of barrier draws and who has a bad record..

I'll be happy if the 1 leads and gets Chilli to the lane and then runs 2nd to her.. But I think it's gone better the last 5 starts then the 20 previous to it... so I just want it to hold up early and the last time it drew the pole it won.. so hopefully that's a little omen... BUT I have a big concern that the best winning mile rate is 2:03..... but that was the night it led and won from the pole...

SWEET CHILLI the SCD pacer should lob 3rd on the pegs and run a place in Race1

malcolm farrow should just give up after that drive on givoni tonight, granted he did everything right until the 500 metre mark but from then on what was he thinking ? (if he can think) it was very sad to see that incompetance on a metropolitan track

also someone(s) has more money than cents as jackpot jim & myself had commander cam at 1000/1 ($1001.00) & it was backed from 40/1 ($41.00) into 13/1 ($14.00) it was backed/shortened 4 times in the betting, i think 'they' have too much money :? :? :? :?

I still cant recall a horse winning after a 24 hour break at GDP since Ive been posting on SAFOOTY
You would be well in front laying these horses on BETFAIR
Started $4-50 on the TAB
Hopefully G + DUTCHY laid it on BETFAIR

Scd congrats on last nights run, paid well on the tab. Bayman i was phoned from an astute punter on course last night telling me also that Commander cam backed from 40's into 11's. I agree someone has too much money. Mal, did you see Iris last night ? It was all over in a " Blink of an eye" My 2 each ways for the weekend both ran second and both paying $2.40 and my only other 2 horses of mention Wholelotasound and Iris both won. All aboard TOOT TOOT. On face value Smooth Cruza's run last night was disappointing as a beaten favourite but the sectionals were unbelievable. This horse sat three wide for the 1609 mtr
trip with a first half of 57.3 coming home in 57.9. He was under pressure 400 from home but boxed on down the straight to be beaten by 5.4mtrs going 1.55.2. Definately one to follow.

I can barely move today.. 65 overs in the field wasn't the thing I wanted to be doing and i'm paying for it today!!

It was a fair night on the punt - won $150 on Chilli running 3rd @ $3.20 and then slowly gave it back to finally ending up +$25 after Iris winning.. I suppose a winning night it a good night..

Was a bit disappointed with her only running 3rd - had every entitlement to run 2nd and even get close to the winner on sectionals.. but still better then her dropping out and running nowhere.. may be time for a 2 - 3 week freshen up.... but i'll wait and see what Gary says in the next few days...
