How about the win of JJ in Race 2 in Sth Africa a few mins ago. Backed from 5/1 into Evens with Bookies and went WHOOSH at its 1st start in winning by 5 lengths. its full name was JJ The Jet Plane.

Moonee Valley and Geelong now = OONADATTA do they???
Far better class of horse .. running second in an M0 and backing up and winning an R6 or better race..
there are very few horses that back up from one day to the next in SA - but they have a good record in Victoria doing it....
Positive Outlook @ Maryborough last November @ $25 is just one of those that comes to mind that i've backed!!!

If its so obvious that some horses can handle backing up in a 24 hour period
why isint ther more horses doing it every week BAITMAN ?

Horses that can be competitive on a Saturday night don't want to drop a C front for $3,250 and predominately R races on a Friday are R1 - R3 or lower class, they don't get a chance to draw well - so why bother putting them in??
There are a number of horses that back up from Friday or Saturday to Monday - where the programs are better and they are able to draw better barriers in races like R1 only or R2 only or they are doing it instead of being combined against the better horses...

At GDP no horse racing twice in 24 hours has won a race that I have bet in.
In fact no horse backing up since I started betting at GDP since 1975 has got up.
Everyone of those that have I have risked and they have NEVER EVER won a race [YET !!]
SCD it might work in Victoria and well spotted as it does happen [despite no mention of the losers]
AND
I base all my astute statisical acrumens on GDP trots where it DOES not happen[?]
BAYMAN will no doubt investigate if it has been done at GDP

baracola won at gdp on the friday & broke 2 minutes as an odds on fav leading all the way, then came out the next night & drew 7 sat behind the leader & won at 12/1 thanks to ron bannear as the rest had 9/1 or 10/1

Well done BAYMAN you found one back in the days when Ron Bannear
was a bookie at the trots !!!!! As George Harrison once sang " ALL THOSE YEARS AGO .".....
BARACOLA was a good nag
Usually the ones that back up are lower class nags
To see good class horses doing it would be rarity in SA
PS lets not work out the losing horses that have tried it would take too long to post
I wonder what LAWMAN/GREATEST SCOTT/G think of this discussion ?

For most of the last 30 odd years their were rarely Back to Back meetings at GDP for horses to achieve this Feat. Only in recent times that GDP have run Fri/Sat Night.
Lleyton Hewitt Won Two matches in one day a few weeks ago. What a Training Performance!!!!!!!!!!

With all due respect bayman and i could be wrong but Lance had nothing to do with Barocola, I think you are referring to Barkurrei and if so he never won two races on consecutive nights.
