ANGLE PARK - wednesday

Postby mighty_tiger_79 » Tue Oct 23, 2007 2:28 pm

race 1 - 6 miss melbourne looks the winner on form. One race start for a 30-82 2nd last week. the 5 begins well also and should enable it to get a clear run across the field

race 3 - 4 has had 7 starts for 6 placings at t/d but this is a NTD race, good for exotics. the winner looks like 7 Kelly and Hall, 3 starts ago ran 30-88 in winning an open race at Gawler followed by a 30-39 3rd in an open race here.

race 6 - 1 emerley kist - doesnt go well here. I think if this comes up odds on its a good risk.

race 7 - 8 sunshine magoo last start ran 30-08 in winning from box 2. Can handle a wide box and on times it has to win

race 8 - 8 awesome sambo - won last week from box 6 in 30-35, another who can handle the wide box, should be leading all the way. the main danger appears to be the 4 Le Affair

From my trainer:

Plenty of fun this morning at AP - apparently somebody saw a trainer give his dogs a drink in the car park this morning so the shit hit the fan - the stewards scr the dogs, confiscated a spray bottle, locked the trainer in the stewards rooms, swabbed both dogs - and apparently all that was in the bottle was some GATORADE - pretty strict when you get to the track - so beware if in that situation !!

Any more goss?

I believe he gave his dog some recharge out of a syringe straight into the dogs mouth. Thats was what was said at the trial track tonight. That came from a steward when was asked. Still doesnt sound like much of a crime if its just recharge (HARDLY PERFORMANCE ENHANCING).

No, it's not a crime to give a dog Recharge- it's an electrolyte based drink.
I would think it is generally used after a run, but maybe the trainer felt the dog needed some after travelling, which is quite within his rights.
What course of action can the trainer take against the Stewards over their over-zealous reaction?
