Those who know me know Im a tad incompetent with the PC
Today was no exception.
Friend was over to coach me on how to punt/lay today[he was robbed at an ATM see G/D ROOM]
GDP R2-2 SHEDONTNOSHESLITLE was running mon 29/10/07
It was showing $10 to punt on Betfair to back
I rated this horse $51
I tried to lay it for $20 to lose $180+
I submitted the transaction

My friend saw a mistake and said " YOU BACKED IT NOT LAYED IT !"
A few seconds later they jumped
I punted it $20 on it
It led all the way until 20 meters from the post.
It was a trotters race and it gallops with 20 metres left
It still wins BUT
PROTEST
Dismissed phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww !

Instead of trying to lose about $200
I got a return of $557-76 [odds 27.89] and I thought it was $10
Less commissions of $26-89
Profit of $510-87 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I backed the nag by mistake
That nag at $27-89 paid $39 on unitab and $80 on supertab as well
So I also backed a nag and took unders !

Pity the poor guy who layed the winner at unders !! I have a message for him

Congratulations champ on your well resourced punting system............ just one problem either though it won, thats the whole point of laying them is to lay them at the shortest (ie: unders) possible price isn't it? So either though you think he's a poor guy who layed it at $10 that poor guy got a free bet and probably, if any punting ability, took the tote odds and won more than you!!! Sorry to spoil the party or anything but thats how it really works i reckon? U know that stuff BIG M, dont worry its happened to us all and makes u feel a little sick afterwards...
