Centrebet have New Jersey Nets $1.33 to win and $1.91 line of +6.5!!!!!! obviously should be -6.5

ive had a fair bet on it and will probably lay off at another bookie int he morning so I have a 12 point "middle" where i can have a free shot at winnning both bets

What say Dutchy, you had $1000 on at +6.5 (Team A) with Centrebet.
You also have $1000 on at +6.5 (Team B) with a professional sportsbook.
Centrebet cancel your bet.
You are now exposed to the tune of $1000 on Team B.

Does that now entitle you to cancel your bet on Team B?

I didnt lay off on the other side because I thought this might happen....was going to leave it just until tip off

they came back and said NO punters cannot cancel their bets!

Oh well nothing ventured....

but does this give them the right to cancel a $2.50 bet when they made a mistake and it should have been $2.40??? would be a pretty easy way to balance their books

I feel like closing the account BUT seeing im winning with them over the last 12 months Ill piss them off even more by winning more $$$$$

Main reason i bet with them is they offer the earliest Odds for NBL

Years ago in an AFL final THORNTON sports put up the 2 teams odds the wrong way around
It involved ML V ???
The feMALe Thornton staff member put up something like
$3-00 for the $1-33 team

The mistake was realised but to Thorntons credit he did not renig on the bet
to a well known punting outfit

The team Thornton bet at $3-00 [should have been $1-33] LOST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Dutchy, Bookies are flexible
If you were a punter that consistently did his balls gaMALbling with them
then your bet had a far far better chance if acceptance.

Dutchy, next time you make a bet, ring up & cancel it, stating that you made a mistake...

centrebet makes a mistake & they have rules to suit themselves

I'd speak with the NT Gambling Commission (or whoever it is that oversee's the Licensed Bookmakers), & seek clarification, stating you accepted their odds in good faith, they in turn accepted your bet etc.. chase it up.

well, ive never encountered any issues with centrebet personally.

but in this case it is an absolute disgrace that they as SCD mentioned 'can have there cake and eat it too'. surely once the odds are up and displayed its bad luck for them if they get caught by alert punters like Dutchy.

so that rule is there get out of jail clause but there is no relief for the punter if they make a mistake.

that is very poor form, they seem to have really gone down hill since the merger.

the problem you had DUTCHY, is they keep seeing your account sky-rocketing towards the million $$$ mark and they analyse each investment you make, if it had of been someone like GRUB, they probably wouldnt have worried about it.

First rule of Gambling I was taught - it you put a bet on the wrong horse or race, don't cancel it (i broke it once - when I had $100 on a horse and it won paying $13...)

Good news Lads, the Knicks won by 7 so if they had held the bet I would have lost by 0.5

I would have covered with my lay off at another bookie but they would have won my stake!...wish I had of layed off now as I would have won the Knicks bet and the losing bet was refunded!!!

I did wonder if the size of the bet bought it to their attention, a smaller bet might not have gone noticed
