GDP 8/12/07 + HARNESS HARP

27 years ago one of the worlds greatest ever musicians was gunned down
John Lennon, if ever the phrase was applicable "The day the music died."

DOCTOR DILLINGER V LARACHELLE
_____________________________

The big match race was anticipated at GDP tonight, but both horses scratched
Dr Dillinger has a serious injury and may be off the scene for 6 months

As JPY once sang Love is in the air
Andy Gath one of the luckiest men in the universe is set to marry Kate Thompson
The wedding is likely after the Interdominion racing early next year.
Oh to be Andy for 20 seconds.

SIMON JONES IN FINE FORM
_____________________________

30/11 SIMMO copped a $200 'fine' for interference
I believe Simmo has driven 4 winners in NZ now
His 1st winner Aloha Christian [no relation to the new cricketer playing for SA] has
been sold to WA interests and sold for a reputed $90,000

TAB ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
_________________________

Why oh why are they taking so long to put up the scratchings at the trots
To wait till 10 oclock for scratchings is way too long
Other Interstate meetings [except Perth] are up before AT
They need to lift thier game
Proffessionals like SCD/BAYMAN/G who have all thier markets and tapes done
have to wait to assimilate thier bets for the night
Its worse on Mondays getting scratchings this late for a day meeting
It also delays the LATE MAL tips on SAFOOTY as well.

don't worry about bad draws like 6 when the horses are better then the rest of the fields MAL...

R4 - 6 SO Deep has that much on this field she could give them a 30m start and still win...
R5 - 6 Monterosso showed last week he can work for 400 - 500m to find the front.. too good
R6 - I have a thought here in that - last time Dr Dre drew 1 and Fire and Brimstone drew 7 - he beat him on the sprint lane.. I feel over 2230m Dr Dre needs a sit and the stable mate will give him that.. there are only 3 horses that can't win because of this and they are 3,5,7.....

Good luck to anyone having a bet
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Was checking out the Early markets for South Africa Races earlier tonight with South African Based Bookmaking Firm BettingWorld and was shocked when i noticed they were Betting on Globe Derby and Bathurst Trots Fixed odds. Race 5 at GDP they opened Monterosso @ 12/10 before firming it into 1/2. They didn't bet on any Races at GDP after that although they may have bet on the first 4 Races ? Have also noticed they have Bet on some Victorian Trot meetings on some weeknights.
Amazing that there is only JUST 1 bookie in Australia that Bets Fixed odds on GDP as No Bookies bet on GDP interstate anymore as far as i Know YET a Bookmaking Firm In SOUTH AFRICA offers a Fixed odds service and Bets a Market of around 110 - 115 % compared to Damarells 160 % Market
Has anyone got an Account with them as i'm thinking about opening one with them myself.
They also offer Markets on most International Racing and Bet around about 110% most of the time.

12/10 monterosso it sounds like they are trying to take over the mantle of GIFTBET, i'll have a look to see if they keep betting on it & if they do i'll be opening an account, incidently they were betting fixed odds on wagga trots last night

BLACKBOOK

Mister Albert
Saturday night
went for the lead but held out
sat in death
galloped back to last :vom: :vom: :vom: [I backed it]
took off before the turn
pushed right off the track
flassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshed home
ran second beaten about a metre
what a run
the run had to be seen to be believed
one to follow in suitable races

Driven unsuitably ?
My pre race thoughts were
Stay off the pace and round em up
But then had it not galloped it would have won in the death seat
NorMALly a foolproof horse, was it pushed too hard early ?
