Betting in the run is the way to make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
This pitch is amazing
For 3 days its a batting paradise
The last 2 days its very bowler friendly
History always is the indication for the future
Here are the games this decade
It should be a win the toss bat first and win pitch but ...
Sides listed first batted first
1999-2000
AU 441...8/229
IN 285....110
2000-2001
WI 391...141
AU 403...5/130
2002-2003
EG 342...159
AU 9/552 DEC
2003-2004
AU 556...196
IN 523....6/233
2005-2006
WI 405...204
AU 428...3/182
2006-2007
EG 6/551 DEC...129
AU 513............4/168
Notice the trends
1ST innings all teams make plenty
2ND innings a real struggle
THIS TEST
AU $1-75
DR $3-00
IN $5-75
My betting in the run
Back the draw early as history shows it will shorten when sides get big 1st innings totals
Lay the draw later at a shorter price on Betfair.
OR
If you have not got a Betfair account
Then when the odds of both teams are inflated later back the other 2 teams perhaps.
MOST RUNS FIRST INNINGS
Sir Richard Ponting will make plenty in the first dig at the $4
Sir Matthew Hayden is the danger

back the Aussies at $1.75, surely at some point they will be much shorter for the Lay off option

I like the value the indians are paying. Adelaide oval should suit them. Remember last time they played here Dravid and Laxman made a stack. can see laxman scoring heavily here again and Harbajan & Kumble doing well in the second innings.

I reckon Australia are good value at the moment at $1.90.
The draw has come in to $2.40, so I'm guessing people are worried about the forecast of "possible thunderstorms", but really there is very, very little chance these will impact on the length of the test (time will be made up later if they have to go off for an hour).

Personally I can't see Australia winning this test. It looks like a typical flat pooper Adelaide Oval test deck, and I can't see the Aussies having the strikepower to bowl India out twice. If the Indians can get the ball to swing I reckon they're a real chance, however with Hayden back into the Aussie lineup I'm sure that'll boost the confidence of the Aussie middle order and I can't see Australia getting skittled cheaply twice. The Indians love the short square boundaries at Adelaide Oval and I think their batsman are in good enough nick to bat the time. Only possible distraction may come from the exlusion of VVS, Tendulkar and Ganguly from the one day side and what influence this may have on these individuals??? Tendulkar loves Adelaide and I reckon he's in for a big one.
My money's on the draw, Tendulkar most runs India 1st Innings, Stuart Clark most wickets 1st innings Aus (if we bowl first).

Good valid argument there eags, but Adelaide usually comes up with a result from memory (albeit a late one). Can't resist the $1.90 the Aussies with IAS.

Yep I took the $1.90 last night also, due to -
- Hayden back, stability and loves Adelaide
- We will have a spinner
- Motivation - who has it now? The Aussies, always back a good team coming off a loss
- Aus havent lost a test at Adelaide for a loooooooong time
- Ponting due
- Aussies 15-1 int last 16 starts and you can get nearly evens?
- When was the last Draw involving Aus?
I though they might be a better price after Perth but $1.90 is amazing value for the best team in the world

Just had an interest bet of $10 on India at $7. India have class batsmen, Aus a pop gun attack IMO....(except Lee & S Clarke)
