gawler friday,
r4 no 2 the end of the rainbow, an e/w special & if i thought it could cross the pole i'd make it a moral
gdp sat,
r1 no 1 petria drawn to be in the finish
r6 no 7 rovers return 'safeproof' trotter will be in the finish e/w
r8 no 3 high and low should lead and win (despite the driver)
victor sunday, (when fields come out)
r4 no 4 the dalmation but i wouldn't back it too short
r7 no 1 johnny doika looks a moral but will be a morals price
don't forget the mount gambier cup is also on saturday night & one of the more astute punters i know (rd) is doing the ararat cup- mount gambier cup double on the fri-sat
good luck if your having a punt

i sense that RD in the next couple of years will embark on a tour of australia.
a tour of australia's race tracks for gallops and trots!!
wouldnt cost a lot of money, as long as you backed plenty of winners

Did anyone see the drive on Nexus Lad??????? It was like a flashback of when Colin Pike used to SLAUGHTER Paleface Adios there was similar brainpower being used between both blokes. If Nexus Lad's owners keep him on after that display they deserve whatever comes to them.............

Nexus Lad... It had nothing on P Butterworth's effort on The End of the Rainbow...
Sorry Bayman, I know you tipped it - but that was the WORST drive i've ever seen - why would you bother even taking your horse to the track for P Butterworth to be driving anyway???

fortuneately i didn't back it as it was way too short, i agree it was a shocking drive, he chose to drop to the pegs (fair enough) then at about the 400m all he wanted to do was come as wide as he could, now i'm not saying it would have won but if he had stayed on the pegs i'm sure he would have gone close, i also thought the horse looked sore over the last 500m, but i'll wait until i see the replay to confirm my first thoughts

Whilst conceding the drive by P.Butterworth was ordinary, I still thought the horse was disappointing in that it raced ungenerously and wasnt exactly bolting at the finish.

Completely agree it was disappointing, but when you overdrive an average horse like he did, it won't finish off...
If the horse was racing ungenerous - where is the best place to be generally speaking??
The Fence - which makes the drive over the last 600m even worse in my view when he should have gone there, not that I think it would have made a difference...

P Butterworth...........you got way unders tonight boys to back this bloke you would want minimum 40/1 and thats still being kind, if you didn't know what you were in for when you backed him then you have got to doubt your own intelligence...........?

What happened to Little Baymans visit to the sideshows and game of mini golf? You could also drop in at Maslins Beach and go white pointer spotting. Judging by his efforts at GD 2 Mondays ago im sure he would be more than interested!

the sideshows/minigolf are across the lawn from the hotel anyway but in the end his mother wanted him for the day as for his effort of a couple of mondays ago well last night they were hugging each other he's 8 & she's a cute 16

he does a lot better than me (that wouldn't be hard to beat)

The thing about 3 Bookies at Victor Harbor is that Dumberall gets Shown up. Amazing what a Little competition does to his Prices.
