I have noticed recently some drives/rides you people have witnessed have made you feel you need to voice either dissaproval,or question the drive/ride in some manner.
Now,just for us Moderators, please keep in mind the possible ramifications to people being named on here in an unfair light.Be the motives for your comments right or wrong, please keep in mind the possible liability in these comments, possible.
It is clear you all have very strong opinions and in some ways strong ties to the industry, please keep that and this sites reputation/security in mind when commenting.
Play on....

I've always thought that Ecky, Punk & Dutchy are amongst the better moderators on this site. If an indiscretion is noted a pm is always sent & appreciated. I see no need for someone who rarely contributes to the Gambling room come strolling in flashing his moderators hall moniter badge. Same can be said with a similar thread in the regional footy board which has it's own mods to regulate the discussions.

Well Sheik, what you think is warranted and what I think are two different things.
Before you posted the above, consider this. The Mods who frequent certain forums can become accustomed to the discussion, therefore finidng nothing wrong with it.Someone who 'rarely contributes' in the forum may come in with eyes wide open and see things differently.Nothing against the mods who use this room, this is a fact all mods know.
At no stage did I consider anyone's posts worthy of the pm's the wonderful mods in this section use, more a 'reminder' to all of what should and should not be said, especially when involving the racing industry.
Strange you took the time to respond to something you have no time for..
Play on..
(BTW,Dutchy and I did discuss this via pm,why dont you ask him for his view?)

Thanks for the words Sheik however all Mods scroll through all threads and are authorised to do any moderating, Ive done moderating outside this room before....I did discuss this with Booney and was going to add to this last night but thought it would be better to leave it as it was...to be honest I get bored with a lot of the Trotting talk (as I dont understand the tactics!) and just skim over a lot of it, I rely on other Mods and you blokes to alert me to anything I miss...
anyway all play on...

That's fair enough Booney.... I agree we tread a fine line in here at times...
Given the article in the Harness Racing Weekly this week - where a certain trainer has called for the sacking of basically all media in SA who have suggested that his stable engages in stable driving - surely we can discuss this, given the stable has been named and the trainer has raised it in the national media....

I've discussed with Wedgie a few times from day 1 the folly of having so many mods on this site. The problem being that there will always be a Frank Burns mentality with some, I'd be more inclined to actually raise the issue with the appropriate mods & leave it to them, but as you said, your cool with it so that's that.

Yes,yes you can,and I encourage all of you to use this site to its full capacity, but,as my reminder stated, just keep some things in the back of your mind.(re: liability)
Play on guys.....Good punting.
