Hunter Cup

Postby jackpot jim » Sat Feb 02, 2008 10:11 pm

My Selections.

1/ 11. Divisive $4.50
2/ 1. Report for Duty $11.00
3/ 14. Safari $2.50 fav.
4/ 8. Karlsruhe $35.00

Why didn't PuniTab put the F4 Jackpot onto this race tomorrow instead of the usual R1 at Albion Park ???
I've still got fond memories of the 2006 cup when they put the Jackpot on it.

Great Race this year...

I can't put just one on top... Think the winner will come from one of these four

2. Smoken Up
10. Divisive
14. Safari
15. Blacks a Fake (Yes - even off 30m he is a chance, this horse is a champion and if he can settle infront of Safari... who is a risk from the stand, he can win)
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Karlsruhe is worth an E/Way bet. Currently $41.00 a Win and $8.80 a Place Fixed odds compared to about $22 currently on S/Tab.

Absolutle Certainty Beaten. Ran about 5th. Went to the line under a Strangle Hold searching for a clear Run.
The sooner they get away from that dump of a Track at Moonee Valley and get out to the New track at Melton, the Better.

big call that jj (certainty beaten) i would have thought the winner was far too good for them, yours imho was very stiff to miss a place but winning not sure about that

Have a look at the replay Bayman and you'll see that Karlsruhe was Bolting and only had to get a split and would have put paid to them in a Blink. All Honours to the Winner, Just saying that luck Decides a lot of races and Karsruhe had ZERO up the straight.

I was on the winner and exacta.... so was wrapped

I also know how lucky I was - because myself and a number of people watching the replays all believe that Karlsruhe should have won - in fact, with a clear run in the last 200m he wins by 3 - 4m easy I think..

I would like to comment on the racing at Moonee Valley today though - it was an absolute disgrace for the meeting of this standard.. This track was not up to standard (despite a track record in the Hunter Cup, and an amazing run by the winner)

Here is a list of winners and position in running

R1 - As it is in heaven - behind leader
R2 - Belepheron - leader
R3 - Right Interest - leader
R4 - Brooklyn Bute - behind leader
R5 - Be Good Johnny - leader after 600m
R6 - Viva La Fever - leader last 2 laps
R7 - Watchmefella - 3 back fence (with Stable mate running in front)
R8 - Blacks a Fake - wide and running on from almost last
R9 - Amazing Albert :partyman: :partyman: - behind leader
R10 - Baltic Ice - behind leader

4 of the 10 winners were leaders
4 of the 10 winners were behind leader
1 winner was 3 back the fence (and sprint laned anyway)
1 winner - Blacks a Fake came wide on the track...

Moonee Valley = not good enough to run the interdom final if this kind of bias is going to continue to be seen
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

I've been saying for ages that Moonee Valley is a Dead set Front Runners Track and yes as Bayman Suggested, you must Bet accordingly.
Amazing Albert :partyman: :partyman: I take it you were on it SCD as was i.
