NO Bookies at Globe Derby Was only a matter of time unfortunately.
Certainly a Far cry from backmin the 50s' when there were as many Bookies then as there are now Punters.
Saw a Program on Sky Racing the other day about the Top Ten Hunter Cup Winners of all time and they mentioned that one horse from back in the 50s' i think it was won a race at Harold Park one night where there were an Incredible 189 Bookmakers on course.
Imagine the time it would take to check out who had the Best Price.

1st 2.80 win & 1.30 place
1st 1.50 win & 1.00 place

pity about race 1 for me, that was going to be a very nice return had it held on, although i did back it e/w & overall a profitable day
