I like my rugby and thought I'd have a few bets this season. In keeping with the rules of the room my tips will be posted here.
ATTENTION: as a rule I suck as a punter and only do it for fun so my tips are in know way to be interpreted as intelligent or informed!!

week 1:
Crusaders v Brumbies:Crusaders should account for the Brumbies without a lot of trouble. $10 @ $2.00(-16pts)
Reds v Highlanders in QLD. Must declare a soft spot for the Highlanders as I lived in Dunedin for a while and learned the great game there. Reds were carp last year and Highlanders had a good trail game win at home last week.Highlanders $10 @ $2.00(+4.0)
Sharks v Western Force. Force unlucky a few times last year and started to play some good rugby by season end but Sharks should win this. Sharks $10 @ $2.00(-10.0)
Blues v Chiefs: Blues $10 @ $1.50 H2H
Waratahs v Hurricanes:'Tahs to win but with no confidence. $10 @ $2.00(-7.0)
Stormers v Bulls: Bulls should walk it in. $10 @ $2.85 13+
Cheetahs v Lions: Should be close. Lions $10 @ $2.00 (+2.0)

Happy with that result for the weekend, but its all about the end result...

Couple of games this week Id see as a toss of the coin to try and pick a winner,
- Brumbies ($1.83) vs Reds ($1.97)
- Bulls ($1.67) vs Sharks ($2.20)
and then a couple others that should be massive floggings,
- Cheetahs ($6.00) vs Blues ($1.13)
- Stormers ($6.00) vs Crusaders ($1.13)
then of course there's the Waratahs game (I think they can be compared to the Western Bulldogs, a team I never have much confidence in putting my hard earned on. Even more they are currently on the third line to win the Super 14's at $7.50, true a long way behind the Crusaders and Blues, but I think not far enough)
- Highlanders ($2.85) vs Waratahs ($1.42)
The other two games look like they could provide a great deal of interest
- Hurricanes ($1.68) vs Chiefs ($2.20)
- Lions ($2.40) vs Force ($1.57)

Just need a little more value in a couple of places and Im on..

Sorry Brod, while I realize I am not the Super 14 "guru" on this site thats was correct. It was the Highlanders +5 and they repayed my faith in awful conditions.
