well i found out today that the tab (uni) has sent the edict out that FORMGUIDES are NOT TO BE DISPLAYED IN THE TAB AGENCIES, formguides like 'the sportsman', 'the melbourne herald sun', 'the winning post, best bets, harness weekly etc etc & the reasoning is that these types of papers advertise the darwin based corporate bookies

well i know of one tab that will continue to display formguides as he knows they are imperitive for the punter which in turn creates more turnover, whereas if there is no form how would that get people to bet ?

i'll add that if unitab got off their backsides & actually did things to entice the punter they could possibly get more business

WELL MAYBE unitab should start advertising in these formguides and/or start being more proactive with marketing and offers.

there isnt too many agencies that actually go out of their way to supply these formguides such as "the sportsman' - 'winning post' etc, but the ones that do would see an increase in patronage and turnover.

UNITAB management certainly leave a lot to be desired.

The form they provide for the trots on their sheets and on those screens is SHIITT.

Unitab are a joke..... just another reason to laugh at them!!!

i know one agency is looking at getting FOX - for all the sports for people so they can watch there money etc

The Nailsworth TAB has had Fox for a while for that very reason !!!!!!

well unitabs rules continue to amaze me, as mal has said before if you back a horse/dog for a place in a 8 aniMAL competing race & there is 2 late scratchings to make it a 6 horse/dog field they change the rules to only pay a 2nd dividend & not a third which goes against all i ever knew regarding this, tonight in cosmic legacy's race with which there were 3 late scratchings to go along with one that was already scratched leaving a 4 horse field & low & behold i notice the tote screens having odds up for place dividends etc & yes they paid out a place dividend in a 4 horse field

that is they paid out the place on first & second

my understanding is to get a third dividend u need 8 runners before u have the 3 late scratchings so there for last nights race would of only had 7 then the 3 late scratchings coming out made it a 4 horse race so NTD

the greatest disgrace that Punitab present, is $1 dividends... should be a law that forces them to have a minimum dividend of $1.04

unitab are a disgrace..... just have a look at the pick 4 pools.... it is laughable when p[eople put on pick 4s and tell me they just missed them.... I feel like saying you fool have a look there is only $250 in the pool..... WADH!!!!! even if they got it they would only get back half the pool (1/2 unit).....

yes but when you have a 4 horse field it is usually a win only pool & given their rules on 2 late scratchings in an 8 horse field changing from 3 to 2 place divs this rule to my way of thinking is the opposite to the other rule

normstwin, if you have a bet on supertab or nswtab & there is 2 late scratchings in an 8 horse field making it a 6 horse field you still get the 3 divs only unitab is different, so with unitab having a different rule there, i can't understand how this rule from 7-4 horses is there

If there is a late scratching or 2 or 3 it doesnt alter from the time final scrathings are declared.

If there was 8 runners and 5 late scratchings there would be 3 place divies..... (thats when you would want the $1.04 rule to be in place!!!!!! )

if there is 8 runners & 2 or more are late scratchings on unitab it changes to a ntd situation, CHECK IT THIS IS CORRECT, which means if your having bets early because your going out & back something for a place because there is 3 divs in a 8 horse field & then there is 2 (or more) late scratchings it is now a ntd race
