Quadrella's

I have been putting quadrella's on for Saturday races on the Friday night and on the weekend found that some of my selections had been scratched.
Went to the TAB last night as I "assumed" there would be some sort of refund but got told there isnt!
Does anyone know why!!? Or has the TAB made a mistake (highly doubtful!!)

@ browny - if a horse is scratched, they sub one in - this is the favourite. I am not sure what happens if you already have the favourite - maybe they just go down the list of the next shortest priced runner.
I assumed there would be a refund as well - I know when you do a Trifecta or a First 4 it just adjusts the cost of the bet and you get refunded the difference - but I found out the other week that indeed there was no refund.

It's pretty simple.
All late/scratchings are transferred onto the PUNITAB FAVOURITE.
NO REFUNDS
Bit of advice is to put Quaddies/Trebles etc on as late as possible to avoid this situation.

If you picked the favourite and its scratched its no longer the favourite is it?

Re read my post - I wasn't talking about the favourite getting scratched. I mean if you have 5 horses in one race, and one gets scratched, but you have the favourite in the remaining 4 - what do they give you then?!?

they give you the favourite when the market has closed

But MT, do you know what they give you if you do a box Quaddie and you already have the favourite?!?

if you have 4 runners in a leg of the quaddie including the FAV and one is scratched, that unit is placed on the FAV.

I'm sure the punter would have too, but that's kinda why it included the word "Consolation"
