globe derby off....disgrace

this is disgraceful that the once 'best wet weather track in australia' is now just a shambles as soon as a drop of water hits it, through some text messages today when i heard they were off some 'track drivers' have used the words like the 'track is a disgrace', it is a 'virtual mud heap', 'it shifts & is unsafe' these were the type of text messages i got when i've asked how much rain have you had out there, alledgedly the track is like it is because the powers at be WONT PAY FOR THE PROPER TRACK MAINTENENCE NEEDED & cut corners trying to save money

i think that there should be a plan b when this happens like transfer the meeting maybe to port pirie & give every horse enough money to cover the costs of travelling etc (i know it couldn't happen tonight because there was heavy rain in port pirie today) but overall i think it could work when they call off a meeting at lunch time, perhaps put lights up at victor & transfer to there

well at least we can't lose tonight & i dare say they wont run tomorrow night either
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Well bayman, welcome to a one track town !!!!!!!!! they race on it 3 times a week trial once and its open for track work every other day, what do you expect ????? Globe Derbians would have a fit if they transfered to Pirie - the Globe Derby Sooks made their bed now they will have to sleep in it. :(

NO TRACK can take the pounding Globe Derby takes without spending huge amounts of money maintaining it. Pretty hard to spend money on a track when bags of money go walking out the door

Whats the bet they will blackmail HRSA for money to fix the track and guess where it will come from ??????? PRIZE MONEY !!!! ;)

No its not rocket science its $$$$$$$$$$ and they dont have any. Perhaps if the people that use the facility actually paid for it they may be able to do a better job maintaing it - but guess what, the people using the track are the members and they would have to vote on it...................... NOT
