So they keep your money [say $1000] for 12 months an EARN whatever from it.
Their worst possible result is a payout of $1120 with a chance that 11 months down the track, a recession is declared and they then keep the lot.

A recession is two consecutive periods (quarters) of negative economic growth. The bet with Centrebet is PRIOR to 31st DECEMBER 2009. So you need to survive 5 periods (december 08, mar 09, jun 09, sep 09 and dec 09).

I think the $5.50 to avoid it is super value.
