all horses except 11 can win..

It's clearly the best harness race in the last 5 years...

I actually like Divisive > think he can cross the 1 early and hand up to the 5 or 6...

Good luck to anyone having a bet.. i'll be hoping to be alive in the quaddie > with field in this leg!!

My mail is the 1 will not be crossed, so that makes it very hard to beat and puts Fev 25's tip right into it as well. ;) ;)

Brian Gaths drive on Manwarra Goforgold was nothing short of an embarrassment, they should rub him out for a year im not kidding it was the worst excuse for a drive this century !!!!! fancy making a forward move in a group 1 event on a 65/1 shot then just sitting there for the entire 2600m it ruined the race for the horses that deserved to be there and wrecked the three wide line

I'd suggest the drive on Viva La Fever tactically was just as bad...
$2.00 favourite gallops and he hands up the front...
There was NO horse to put pressure on the leader and he's handing up with a lap to go in a mile race on the 2nd best horse in the race and on a horse who generally IMO has gone best in front....
But i'm talking through my pocket.. so better stop there!!

We officially dropped the potential word tonight.. amazing effort and was a great race to watch!!

Agree with you on both points SCD.
The drive on Viva la Fever was just simply INCOMPETENT and something you would expect to see at Globe Derby.
Fortunately what i lost on Viva was more than compensated by the MAJOR blowing them away. :D
Just have to forget about Blacks a Fakes run as it was simply IMPOSSIBLE to run a place the way the race was run unless it was driven for luck like by going to the pegs but when ur a 2nd fave u cant really do that.

I reckon your bit harsh or talking through the kick too much boys.
G Dixon's drive wasn't much better!!!!!!!! I Am Sam wasn't exactly fav or a proven grand circuit horse.
I've always thought of Viva la fever as a sit sprinter, so many be thats way his told to drive it.
Its easy from the grandstand or in hind sight.
And remember some prizemoney is better than trying to be a hero and running no where and getting nothing.
Its a fine line jockeys/drivers have to make.

I agree it's a fine line Centreman, but B Gath had a terrible tactical weekend..

BTW - I would have had an all up with $2,500 on Karlsruhe a win and a quaddie ticket $15 times with one out Karlsruhe as well.. so I am talking through my pocket :( :(

Viva La Fever has always handed up over 2500m, but everyone I spoke to @ Moonee Valley on Saturday night + Adam Hamilton on Sky were all amazed he handed up... I don't think it was the smartest thing to do over the mile and with the only death seat horse in the race Sundons Gift galloping, there would be no pressure from the 1000m - 400m (as it turned out!!)

Manwarra Goforgold - G Dixon should have handed up the breeze on I Am Sam and I don't dispute that. But it was clear 1800 - 1600m from home he wasn't.. B Gath should have grabbed hold then and gone back to get cover

Mickey Mac - another good B Gath Drive.. 3 wide for most of the race and it was only beaten 4 or 5m..

We all have good and bad nights, but IMO you can't say i'm being too harsh for saying he had a bad tactical weekend...
