have a look at fairview race 5 no 9

i know it is a different country, but naming horses after other champions doesn't sit comfortably with me
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

No different to Horses in Australia being allowed to be named after champion Race Dogs yet a race dog CAN NOT be named after a champion race horse in Australia.

well this octagonal is a thoroughbred as was the one that raced here  & with the way stallions are world wide these days is it right to have a racehorse with the same name of a stallion ?

i recall a dog called 'taj rossi' racing this was named after a champion galloper which means unless rules have changed you are WRONK rk

fwiw i don't think if they have the same names 'cross coding' is a big deal (i also recall a dog called gammalite but spelt slightly differently) what i'm saying is there are now 2 horses by the name of 'octagonal' in the thoroughbred world, so someone could go into a horse by octagonal thinking it was the australian champ but infact it is a south african

I dont follow the mutts so could you name some examples where horses have been named after Champion greyhounds. I do take some interest in the gallops but none come to mind.
