Port Adelaide way way way over the odds.
Also the 5/4 offered by bookies for the power to make the 8 is a GIFT.

Must admit, my pick from that list would be Port also ... Think they've probably got the market order right, but I like Port to be resurgent this year (as Ive mentioned elsewhere).

I think last year a combination of factors hurt them, particularly less preparation (I know it didnt hurt the Cats, but their squad was better) and a bad start to the season (throw in patches of complacency too IMHO).

All of those factors are more in their favour this year I think, and if they're legitimately in the running by halfway through the season, which I expect them to be, then I think they finish top 8 for sure and that gives them half a chance at a reasonable price.

I think that it may well be the first year for a while that the top 8 could consist of 8 victorian sides. However, i think that Port and the Crows are the two best sides in that group, and should make the finals, and agree with the others that Brisbane are too short.

I wonder if there is a stat on teams with new coaches and their win/loss ratio in their first year?
Teams like Brisbane could win a few games early under Voss, then slowly fade as the season wears on. They might win enough games early in the season to hang on to a finals berth.

Sydney seems like very good odds to me.
Even Freo are slightly over the odds, they always show alot of promise but never deliver.
