I like to have a few little value bets (like the one above on Pendlebury) pre-season ... Problem in recent years has been getting blokes like Ablett, Harvey and Cooney at long odds, a year or 2 too early ... Good fun though, even if you plop just $2-$5 on a few blokes at 100/1 (or any other long odds).

I'll have a look through prior to Round 1 and mention any I put on, will prob turn out to be fruitless, but enjoyable to keep track of throughout the year.

exactly right...

had akermanis last year @ $201 - was going well after 6 rounds, then gassed it obviously haha...

You never know your luck though, a little $5 bet on someone @ $100 would make for a pretty enjoyable brownlow night

STumps - i dont expect Pendlebury to win haha.. Just thought worth a couple of bucks, the whole 'leader at the club' thing might make him stand up a bit more & he seems like a bit of a goody two shoes, so wont get suspended

Gibbs and Salopek @ $126

I usually have 1 from each club.

Sportsbet is offering head to head betting.
Murphy ($1.80) to get more votes than Stevens ($2) is looking good considering Stevens will be missing the first 2-4 games.
Also like Cassisi ($1.90) to get more votes than Pearce ($1.90).

I think Chad Cornes at $101 is a good little bet. He is a gun, has had a real good pre season and port are likely to make the top 8, if not the top 4.. he is the one il get on

I had him at those odds a in 2007 and was staggered by the lack of votes he didn't receive (he'd shortened to one of the clear favourites too) ... Reckon the gums might get a bit flappy but probably still worth the punt at those odds.

I know it would take a ridiculously spectacular year, but Ottens at $1001 in a team likely to win most of it's games, I chucked $1 e/w on him lol

Will list out the other bets I made soon.
