Ryles - when looking at a young litter of pups to choose a grey hound from, what should you look out for? i've heard steer clear of 'blue pups', what does this mean?
I would think from my memory (I grew up around greyhounds and tracks) Blue(Grey really) greyhounds are a rarer colour (or used to be ) than other colours.
Dad still has a dog or two these days but his health isn't the best.
I can recall him having some quick dogs that were very small almost Italian greyhound sizes ,one winning a maiden sweepstakes back many many years ago .And taller dogs that were better suited to distance races.
Just remember two champion dogs bred together may not produce a champion dog .
