TUE$$$DAY DOGS
LOSING $5-40 ON A $2 BET PER RACE
If I lose this meeting thats it 3 strikes Im out and giving up tipping dogs[EXCEPT LATE MALS]
R8-1 LONG GULLY JACK
Not sure if he can beat the 8
Is a desperate railer with no early speed
Given room it has a sizzling off the back sprint to the finishing post
PLACE CERT
R10-3 MANHATTAN ANGEL
Has blistering early pace and runs blistering early splits
Should have an unassailable lead and win
WIN
R11-4 BIG BOSS
Has a very big motor
Given galloping room this dog accelerates swiftly after the first turn
Bustling type and looks the winner
EW
I like dogs who have dazzling 100m sprints
These 3 do it in different sections
PS
MT79 I didnt bludge of your tips !
matteG your dog
ELLE ADIOS
harder race this time, ew at odds

Why do I even bother
R8-1 LONG GULLY JACK
No longer a PLACE bet
The curse continues , too often I work out a PLACE bet and we end up with no third dividend race.
There are 3 heats of the Future Stars being held
Non penalty, one of the smartest innovations done by the administrators
Great incentive for local breeders
BUT
As per usual we have 2 of the 3 heats with NTD after scratchings
At least this time there were 2 reserves in each heat to start with
Quite often heats of prestige races[includes cup heats] start up with 7 runners and a vacant box
Race 9 is a classic of the bumbling
R9-9 KEIRA ME scratched in a future stars heat
R10-10 KEIRA ME gets a run in the future stars heat
Thats OK it was reserve in both of the heats and gotta run
BUT
R3-6 KEIRA ME scratched from the Maiden race[fortunately there were 2 reserves and we have a full field]
2 SUGGESTED BETS LEFT
R10-3 MANHATTEN ANGEL WIN [go bennnnny]
R11-4 BIG BOSS EW

Almost laughable
R8-1 LONG GULLY JACK is now a Late Scratching
Now 6 runners in a Future Stars race
Perhaps Lisa and Shaun can start breeding pups ...

Why do we bother MT79
Here comes my broken record tune again
Wed Angle Pk Meeting
64 runners not including reserves
14 of those 64 runners have been scratched
The hours study I did had to be revamped and redone this morning
SA the wholesale scratching state
Compare the SA meetings with the WA meetings
Compare the % of runners scratched in each state
Thats The LATE MAL for next week
More scratchings per % in SA dogs compared to WA dogs
My advice to prospective dog owners in SA
Do your homework and find trainers who have less injured runners than other trainers

MAL!
There is a bad virus going around Australia at the moment. No one knows what this virus is as both blood and urine test show nothing. My dog (AWESOME RYLES) had it for nearly 3 weeks. He was basically paralyzed in 3 legs we were lucky we seen the onset of it and had him here at home on a drip for 10 hours overnight. He lost a crap load of weight and we were very close to losing the boy. Only thing that saved him was the drip we placed him on (even though i had to sleep right beside him for those 10 hours and had to carry him outside for a let out every 2 hours, i would do it every time as i love my dogs like family).
Ask around and a lot of trainers will tell you nothing. No one wants to speak about the virus in fear they will be quarantined and then cant race any of their dogs.
This virus is in Victoria, NSW and god knows where else. It is an airborne virus hence very easy to pass it onto other dogs.
Luckily i know when my dog is a little unwell as i really know my dog otherwise i wouldn't of detected the early signs of the virus or he wouldn't be with us today.
Anyway back on track and i think this virus may be the real reason why dogs are being nominated and then scratched. Dogs are fine one minute and in a bad way the next.
My dog should make his return to the trial track this weekend up the straight but not after some harrowing moments over the last 3 weeks.

VIRUSES
KENNELL COUGH
Those sickers do affect dog numbers at certain times
BUT
Whattabout the rest of the time when there are no sickers
My point is compare SA/WA dog scratchings over the last 3 years and in the future
Why do they have less scratchings ?
Perhaps the 'wheel' is falling off in the SA industry

COMPARE prizemoney MAL!
I agree things need to seriously be looked at as it is quite worrying when you see the amount of races that do not have a full field to start with and then add scratchings you will find in the not to distant future a race in Adelaide with only 3 dogs competing due to lack of noms and scratchings.

Guys who breed dogs
Both are now on the Breeders Task Force
Great addition as both are die hard breeding loyalists
They start thier portfolios in September[why sooooo long ?]
Compare prizemoney ???
YES accept that is a reason
Compare Training techniques
Havlook at how often WA hounds race per moth compared to SA dogs
The WA hounds race almost exclusively weekly
Too many dogs in SA race twice a week
One reason why APK wednesdays have so many scatchings [non virus periods]
is those dogs run at PAUG/STRATH/BARMERA on the weekends and then APK wed.
Not rocket science as to why SA is the scratching state
