Wouldn't they have some sort of clause preventing a withdrawal and then re-deposit of $500?

Yeah those resurrection bets are pretty awesome mate ... As I understand it means you can either make money (if you jag a winner) or at worst break even (converting the free bets to $$ value between sites), is that correct?

You can change the way you structure it but I do it pretty even no matter what the result which returns me 80% of the free bet value, so should turn these into about $1500 cold hard cash

An important point that most punters don't realise is that free bets should always be placed on events with high odds (things that pay $10 or greater if possible).
If you have the funds available in betfair, you should always turn your free bet into cash first using Dutchy's system, and THEN bet on events with lower odds.

For example, say you have $100 in your Sportsbet account plus a $10 free bet.

Option 1: Put your $10 free bet on a $2.00 horse you reckon is a great bet.
If it wins, you have $110 in your account
If it loses, you have $100 in your account

Option 2: First convert your $10 free bet into $8 cash using Dutchy's method. You then have $108 in your Sportsbet account.
THEN bet $8 on your $2.00 horse
If it wins, you have $116 in your account.
If it loses, you have $100 in your account.

Which option is better? You do the maths.

Moral of the story - NEVER EVER put free bets on horses/events which have $2.00 or lower odds - you are throwing money away by doing so.

good point Ecky because Free Bets are "Stake not returned", some bookies offer bonuses where they increase your balance but put restrictions on rollover before they can be withdrawn, these are called "Stake returned" so can be used differently.

Here is a basic example of the spreadsheet I use, have a play around with it

well converted $1900 in free bets into $1515 cash, about 79% return, pretty satisfied with that, makes it $1800 profit from Super Duper Saturday, nice risk free addition to the Bank Roll
