ENGLAND DOGS
There was a report in the media that many UK dog tracks have been closed down
One great track is the HULL dog track which closed in June 2009
Dunno why, they only charged $5 pound entry fee !
Is UK dog racing on the brink ?
Did some checking and found nothing about the closures

HISTORY OF UK DOGS
1533-1603 was a period when it is thought that Coursing events took place
1876 Mechanical lure on a straight track with 6 dogs running
1912 CircuLar mechanical lure was invented by O P Smith in the U.S.[1919 first track in California]
1926 First track in the UK was Bell Vue at Manchester
1985 Mal went to Wimbledon Greyhounds and lost
2009 Is UK dogs in trouble ?

BRETT LEE
Champion greyhound Brett Lee has thousands of offspring running around the world
In the UK his prodgeny are going very well
Some of his breed are the Magna dogs
Magna Boycott/MagnaTrueman/Magna Gough all dogs named after English cricketers
Magna Flintoff is a star there at the moment
I bought a 1985 Magna once, a f...g lemon

DID YOU KNOW
A greyhound runs at about 64kmh an hour
Thats almost a speeding fine

MONDAY NIGHT DISTANCE RACE RACE 8

1 AMBERS ACE...first try 731m, loves rails draws and a winner over 600m, chance
2 BUDDY BANDIT...gunna dog gunna win a race but gunna cost us $$$ finding it EW
3 SLEDGE...4th on debut over 731 and a slashing run when ran on hard to Barelys Image EW
4 MARLOO...has won over the trip, owner is confident it will race well
5 KIMBERLY JINX... races ok at 731m, always a chance in these gr4/5 races
6 MICHELLE MCCOOL...first look at 731, trained by Jovanovic, keep safe, looks leader
7 SUPER HERO... first look 731m big 2nd 600m to San Juan, trip should suit, Jovanovic the trainer
8 BELLA JINX...First look 731m, average run over 600m, needs to lead clear perhaps to go well

MALS MARKET in a very tricky race

1... $5-00
2... $7-00
3... $5-00
4... $7-00
5... $5-00
6... $8-00
7... $5-00
8... $11-00

SELECTIONS
3-1-5-2

Dunno about 1-6-7-8 could be completely wrong with thier odds
I reckon 2 is a PLACE bet
5 should be there EW

My selection is
R8-3 SLEDGE
will be a long way back early, but will be running on very very late in the race at odds
Im expecting about $8 on the TABS
EW
RATIO 1 WIN 3 PLACES

I think backing 2-3-5 EW if good odds is the safest option

I bought the Magna from a caryard
I knew the salesman as played cricket against him, and used to see him at the dogs
I asked
" Usually I get all my cars checked mechanically by my mech, will this car be OK."
" Yes dont think you will have a prob Mal."
I bought the 85 Magna
Nice looking car
5 days later Carputtttttttttt it ceased
Took it to my mech
He had a gawk and told me the car was chemiwelded

Hey guys, heading to Angle Park again tonight with a couple mates. Any tips for this evening?
R7 looks an interesting one with 4,5,7,8 all chances.

Thanks for your help guys. . . .
Mighty tiger - What do u mean by 'betfair the 4 if its under $5'? Do you mean lay it? Or back it? If you mean lay, who is your tip for race 7?

betfair - lay it - if under the $5 i believe it represents no value - its last run left a lot to be desired, i cant see it winning this

Shep Race 2:

While I thought Rib Tickler was a little bit disappointing last time out I am willing to give him another chance. A GOOD chance at that. Looking at the field, there isn't much class around. Transalder is a Healesville straight dog, that doesn't begin all that well and is suited in a clear run. HIGHER can ping, but even in the perfect run tends to fade a little. I mean 10-0-1-0 record at the track doesn't boast that well!

Bein Canny only has 2/13 or something placings from boxes 4-8. Not a good sign when your drawn outside a reasonable beginner in #7 I'M Brumby's. #6 Today's Special is returning from an injury. Reserve runner has the experience and if begins like last start over Sandown, may stand some sort of place chance.

But if Tickler doesn't win this race. Then I won't be backing him for quite some time!

MARKET:

#1 $8.50
#2 $2.00
#3 $10
#9 $18
#5 $30
#6 $45
#7 $10
#8 $15

2-1-3-7

Have gone with those selections, purely because I think they will jump in that order. And with these SEMI CATS, they just wont improve their position. The only runner who may run home is the reserve. But faces a tough draw #4.

I notice good old Ronny Hawkswell has tipped 7-1-2-3. I guess he believes that I'M Brumby's wil lead and Rib Tickler will disappoint again. Watchdog 2-7-8. HOTDOGS 2-7-8 also.

This race looks a strong exotic race though.

Sources tell me last run was very good dispite alot of checks and squeezed out, will be looking to ping out 2nite and get across b4 the 1st bend which it just failed to do last start with the other dog clipping the heels. Hopeful of a clear run 2nite No1 is the main danger, quinella looks the goods.

What do you guys think of the great FFA at Cranbourne tonight. Dyna Lachlan, Velocette and Cindeen Chelby boxes 1,2,3 Danny Phanton 4, Fedex 6, Campaspe Jack 7, Whitfield Bale 8.

Looks a hard race on paper, and even harder on the speed map. Campaspe Jack has been winning coursing events after beginning rather quickly. Most noteably two or three weeks ago when Melton was moved to Healesville. But you would like to think that this wont hamper Fedex.

I like Cindeen Shelby from Whitfield Bale. Reasoning? Well most of them call reel off some sizzling sectionals, so thought I would go for the leader. Even though Dyna Lachlan crossed the field last time from box 8 easily and went on to win. Smart dogs. Hard race.

Can't wait!

Angle Park

Race 1 --- Can Springfield Dash repeat the 29.93 (BOD) last start win. First splits show that he may not cross, but that means that you need to rely on those insides to ping. Don't think NYASALAND RED can lead this time from box 4. Is a bit too inconsistent for my liking. Willing to risk!

I liked Hamilton Rose's last run for some reason.

Selections 8-1-2-6
