At angle park tonight race one, number 1 is scratched but instead of the first reserve (Mr Bourkestrum) comin into that box number 10 has..

Why is this so?
Why wouldnt number 9 go in ahead unless the trainer has said no to it.. or does someone else choose which reserve they chose?

Its computer generated like the box order, so 9 and 10 both have the same chance of getting into the race. If number 10 was unavailable after being chosen as first preference then 9 would obviously get the start.

Yeah does suck, but the dog should get a run next start as it was reserve this time, usually gets preference over dogs with bad form.

Usual grading system goes:
1. Last start win or place at track and distance, Or qualifying
2. Last start win or place at track
3. Down in grade or First Starter
4. Last start winner in city meetings (Gawler/Angle park)
5. Reserve Last start
6. Placing elsewhere
7. Bad form at track
8. Bad form everywhere
