A few injuries in the Brisbane camp... I like the look of Carlton

Agree that Carlton are capable of toppling the Lions.
No Kruezer for Carlton maybe?
No Black for Brisbane maybe?

Two interesting players in doubt. Both teams are as hot and cold as each other.

Black, Drummond, Merrett and Bradshaw all more than likely to miss this week according to Voss today

Who cares anyway. They are only making up the numbers. Crows are the only team outside the Top 4 who have a chance of going all the way IMO

Mate, there is no team outside the top 4 capable of winning the GF. The top 4 teams are so far ahead of everyone else it is not funny.

This can be shown by the last two games the Crows have played against top 4 teams. v Pies beaten at AAMI by 21 points and vs Saints 57 points at ETHIAD. They lost to a very undermanned Geelong side as well. There is no point getting carried away with a win over Carlton, they are one of the most overrated sides in the competition there defence is absolutely terrible and their forward line relies on one man.

I agree, Carlton are a joke..... Never rated them..... Crows just put them back in their place.

How you can say the top 4 teams are way ahead is beyond me.... St Kilda have lost to Essendon (not far behind Carlton in the joke stakes), lost to North Melbourne and struggled to overcome Melbourne. They are also questionable at the MCG. Geelong have been limping for weeks - got beaten by Carlton by 6 goals not long ago, and are also questionable at the MCG. Collingwood and the Bulldogs are the in form sides in the top 4, and Collingwood of course lost yesterday..... I don't think any of the top 4 are very solid at the moment.....

Exactly.
The finals series is there for the taking for any of the 8 sides - Except for Brisbane, Carlton, Essendon. Simply put, they are just not good enough.

St Kilda are limping towards the finals - Not a good sign.
Bulldogs are generally overawed come September, and have not impressed one bit this year. Over-rated.
Collingwood, despite their loss to the Bulldogs are the wildcard - Can beat ANY side on their day.
Geelong - Well and truly limping, 40 pt victory against lowly Freo is a testament to that.

Crows - Admittedly, their form against the top sides isnt great. But thye pushed Geelong at Skilled Stadium - no mean feat and they SHOULD have won. The Crows are the progressive side of the competition, with a lot of upside and a lot of fire-power. On their day, they can beat any side - and can win the flag.

Beat Adelaide in Adelaide
Beaten Brisbane in Brisbane
Beaten the Cats and lost by 2 points (had a kick after siren to win)
Beaten Collingwood and lost by 1 point to Collingwood
Beaten Essendon

Only finalist they have been troubled with is the Saints but arent likely to meet them until the GF

Dont get overawed by Collingwood, good solid team with a good draw and well coached, not enough to win a flag

Bulldogs are average, no fire-power across the ground and will be found out this week when the going gets tough.

In my opinion, when compared with the other 4 finals contenders they lack sufficient fire-power.
Forward line - Impotent. Johnson is past it.
Backline - Lake & Hargreave are OK, there are several leaks around them.
Midfield - Too young, not enough finals hardened competitors.

I like the Bullies, but they will be found out to be pretenders througout the finals. I'll be happily proven wrong, but that's my prediction.

I reckon any of the Top 4 can win it on their day, but naturally some will require more luck from the Football Gods than others ... Not suggesting they can win it, but if Brisbane get through this week and recover 4 very handy players, they might be an uncomfortable 2nd week proposition for one of the Melbourne teams ... The Cats have so much class, but more injured bodies than their Top 4 counterparts is a worry, scoring power is the clear concern, but they handle the G well.

Wide open, but it looks the Saints premiership to lose.
