Gee, I would have thought that Hawthorn on the line wouldn't be a bad bet.

Essendon at the points in could be worthwhile...

What part don't you like ?

I guess as long as I can justify it to myself - that's all that matters :)

Mike doesnt like many bets here...had a go about my bets 2 weeks ago...but if he followed them last week he would have cleaned up! Easy to criticise

M/MIKE

I reckon his bark is bigger than his bite.
My gut feeling is he likes to stir a fair bit.
He actually writes some great posts.

HAHA - I love stirring the melting pot.

Well - I am a Crows fan, but I think value is for the Lions up there.

I generally dont like to bet on footy though.

Horses early doors on a sat morning over here is mid arvo in Australia, so its a good way to wake up!

Anyone checked out the golden boot odds for the World Cup. Massive paper headlines here about Rooney. I reckon there is some value to be had betting on this with the shortest price being around 10/1

Dutchy - I think you will find I love following the lads bets on the dogs and trots.
I just dont justify putting on a multi bet (4 games) at the margins. Im not saying I hope he loses, just in my opinion I didnt like Dissidents combination. I havent said anything life threatening here. Good luck to his bets, I wouldnt ever wish anyone to lose a bet and I regularly bet against the team I support!!!

I've jumped on (multi)-
South Adelaide (+20.5 pts)
Essendon (+ 23.5 pts)
Central (-18.5 pts)

I think South are a genuine winning chance
Essendon are playing Geelong. I would not back Geelong with play money at the minute.
Centrals are a BIRD.

I've had a poor year, so have had a few weeks off to re-evaluate.
Hopefully this fresh look is successfull.

Who works/worked for Radio Rentals ??

(I used to, back in the day)

I like my mulit-bet!

I beleive the Eagles are a 15 goal better side than Carlton, especially over there. I feel confident with that.

Sydney will win - but St Kilda don't get thrased. Sydney aren't "traditionally" a high scoring side, winning games with a combination of good offence and great defence.

Adelaide - with Brown and Bradshaw likely omissions should win - but winning by over 40 points AWAY from home isn't always Adelaide's Specialty.

Collingwood/Dees - well it's a close game, and the multibet bet for this leg is based on NEITHER side winning by over 40 points - and I think the Pies have the advantage.

I'm not confident on the Bullies - nor Port not winning by a lot, or winning by a lot. The Roos can do anything on their day (and are due).

I think the four I've chosen are safest - in saying that though, I wouldn't be suprised one bit to lose :)

What do you mean lay off on Melbourne ?

DISSIDENT RE: what do you mean lay off on melbourne ?

Im sure what DUTCHY is saying is this :

Your multi bet equates to $50 on to win $961
By mondays CO V ML game you will know if your
first 3 legs have won or not.

So if your WC/SS/AC link is successful you are up for
a windfall on the monday on CO under 39 points v ML

DUTCHY suggests a saver which would be to back ML
on the monday.
Bearing in mind you have CO to beat ML under 39.5 points
it might be wise to cover all bases and back ML to beat CO
by 40 + on monday.
I have checked the odds ML 40+ with the 3 local betting outlets
TAB.............................$7
THORNTON...................$7
COMPLETE SPORTS.......$8

You could throw $50 on ML 40+ with CS at $8 and win on both teams!!!!!

Good luck i do like your bet and will watch with interest.

Im just gunna back CO on monday to make it 8 bets 8 afl wins this year.

I agree with Mal although I dont understand his bets! By monday If I stood to win $900- by Coll under 1-39 Id cover the other options to at least get your original $50- back if it doesnt come in (i.e. you dont lose at all)

I think Mal is thinking your collingwood bet covers them under39.5 and Melbourne winning however I believe it is a Coll 1-39 bet...correct me if Im wrong

Hope this make sense

Example

Coll win 1-39 you win $911 (Original bet)
Put $100- on Melb to win at $2.20
Put $50- on Collingwood over 39.5 at $5-
Put $5- on the draw at $50-

Outlay for this bet $205-

Coll win 1-39 you profit $756-
Melbourne win you profit $15-
Coll win over 39.5 you profit $45-
Draw wins your profit $45-

So while you reduce your original bet you guarantee a return and dont lose the original $50

OOPS

Yeah DUTCHY is right i misread the bet
DISSIDENT you have to do what DUTCHY said
AND BACK THE OTHER 3 OPTIONS AS STATED.
