Cox Plate Day

Having a flick through tomorrow races today, and will post my tips a bit later tonight.

Cox Plate thoughts - I'm sticking with Vision & Power, his Turnbull run was his first run in Melb this prep and was fantastic, final 100-200m was scintilating. Should relish the StrathAyr surface at MV. From gate 4 he should settle a bit closer, hopefully one off the fence or getting a nice trail a few back. Only query is his gatespeed from gate 4, Hughie has many options but he is a class rider & should make the right decision.
$18.00/$4.83 on TAB.

There's a lot of value if you dismiss the 2 favourites. Too much value to overlook.
For the trifecta i'll be hoping the faves miss out with these boxed:
- Vision & Power
- Black Piranha
- So You Think
- El Segundo
- Zipping

Could even throw Rock Kingdom & Manhattan Rain in there.

Yep, I'm thinking the Sydney form is going to stack up. It usually does and has proven to hold up already this year in a couple of races.

Magical Pearl in the 4th at $15.00 is exceptional value. Not far behind Whobe 2 runs ago, and pay to forgive Toorak run.

I would be very, very cautious with Rangirangdo. Did not handle the Valley during the week is his trial.

Might get a chance to do it tonight, if not early tomorrow morning.

At a glance.....

R1 - Marmaa
R2 - Angelic Heart
R3 - Avenue, will be $1.50 - I think Broken has a good place chance.
R4 - Magical Pearl/Raffaello
R5 - Extra Zero
R6 - Light Fantastic (Tough race - many, many chances)
R7 - Miss Darcey
R8 - Vision & Power
R9 - Prima Nova

But these are yet to be finalised, will probably wait till tomorrow morning just to check scratching, weather, etc....

R1 - Marmaa - Basically an unknown, so just trusting that D. Hayes has a smart one here.
R2 - Angelic Heart - Nice odds, unlucky last start.
R3 - Yes Sir Yes Sir - Favourite too short to touch, so looking for some value.
R4 - Bolle - Under-rated & at good odds 2nd up.
R5 - Extra Zero - Looks promising, heading to the Derby. Carrara might get a cheap lead & win though.
R6 - Light Fantastic - Looks to have come back in good order.
R7 - Think Money - Trained by the master JB Cummings.
R8 - Vision & Power (Special) Been harping on about him all week and not having second thoughts. Will run a trifecta leaving the two favourites out too.
R9 - Soul Diva - Well placed here.
